Death by Caffeine Comments

Well as soon as I posted that last thing about “being heavily linked,” a few people pointed out that I’m also linked on the AOL home page. With 137 comments on the page, the load is just too high… so if you have any comments on it, post them here!

Yep. So I’m English. And i never bumlick the americans. I dont think “britain” needs americas help in war. I dont think we would be at war if george dubya didnt want oil. Remember that americans dont really know whats happening in the rest of the world becuase a majority of them dont have passports and they have a much more controlled media as supposed to our open system over here. Channel 4 news will tell everything. Really.
Oh and yeh imperial sucks. Seriously Why would 16 be a good number?

Brickhouse Jack August 27th, 2005 8:16 am

I wish every other country in the world would get off our big, collective American sack.
Seriously, why don’t you quit gaping at us and do something with your own shitty countries.

Because honestly, I’m never given a second thought to anywhere else in the world, unless the Olympics are being held there.

It just seems awful disproportionate of the number of non-Americans complaining about America than to the number of Americans complaining about other countries.

Could it be that America is absolutely screwed up and flawed and every other country is practically perfect?

Nope. It’s probably just that Americans DON’T CARE what’s going on in your little useless, do-nothing countries and you’ve got an international case of penis envy.
Yep, that’s Florida… America’s wang.

Wow. How do people find the time to become so ignorant?
1. Stop arguing about imperial vs. metric. All systems of measure are arbitrary, not intrinsic. The superiority of the metric system derives from the fact that it facilitates speedy conversion between units. Its fine if Americans want to use imperial, all of their scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and everyone else that needs it masters metric anyways. The average American’s ignorance of the system is a relatively irrelevant communication issue as compared to their ignorance of other cultures in general.
2. Its pointless to argue that one particular region is better than another. The United States might be on top, but it hasn’t even existed long enough to be considered a great civlization. In fact, it is no civilization, just a nation, an extension of Western Civilization. Europe had its time on top, now its over. The U.S. will have its time on top, then that will be over. Too bad no one learns the lessons and decides to play nice while they’re on top. If England and France had done that, they might be better off right now. For all you Americans who love to brag so much, you wouldn’t exist if the French hadn’t helped your little revolution along, and then proceeded to counterbalance British power for the next hundred years or so while you got your shit in order. For all you we’re so awesome Europeans, screw you, your star has fallen. You’d all be part of the Soviet Union if not for the U.S. Or maybe you’d be part of greater Germany. Screw mainland Europe, you’d be part of Greater France if the British hadn’t stopped Napoleon. Screw you British, you might be part of a Great Islamic Empire if the French hadn’t won at Tours. Screw you French, you might still be part of the Roman Empire if not for the Goths. Hell, you might all be part of an Hungarian or Mongol Empire if not for… the point is, its just the tides of time. Things will change. Chill the hell out with your retarded nationalistic bitching.

The White Settler August 27th, 2005 11:56 am

Never mind kilos, does anyone have a big enough set of scales to measure how much an average fat yank really weighs?

Psycho August 27th, 2005 3:43 pm

come on! why isn’t Buckfast in the dropdown on what’s yer poison list? High in caffine and good ol’ alcohol…. oh. I suppose the alcohol would kill you first.

btw Buckfast is “Not good for you” i.e. not a “Health giving” drink, because we all live in 2005 not 1740, when it WAS good for you. Let’s all live till we are 120, because we can. F*cking spoilt f*cks, the lot of ya.

Health, prosperity and vitality at someone elses expence. Not yours though, oh no. But guilt ridden hedonistic quaffery is OK. Phew. Love you, love yo’sef. BAH! =)

Taylor August 27th, 2005 4:44 pm

Kilos are not the old-fashioned ones here. I mean, haven’t you American weirdos heard of the base ten system?
Anyway, it’s on the site now. so stfu.

ale August 27th, 2005 5:00 pm

Brickhouse Jack August 28th, 2005 7:39 am

Hey White Settler,

I got your fat yank right here.
Come check it out after your mom gets finished with it.

Miraenda August 28th, 2005 12:07 pm

I just wanted to comment that this quote really hits it on the head for me:

From some of the comments on this site, sometimes I’m so embarrassed to be American, maybe even human!

Sad really I had nothing better to do today (a Sunday) than sit reading these blog comments and laughing at them, though. :)

brickhouse jack August 28th, 2005 1:22 pm

I’m embarrassed that you guys are Americans too.

Elber Gudo August 29th, 2005 2:15 am

Hey,

Can anyone comment on how bad are caffeine/alcohol combinations?

Like anyone has experience with Red Bull and vodka? o Red Bull and tequila?
How many of these to put you down?

ben August 29th, 2005 8:59 am

You mention alchol, caffine combos. What about absinthe, with it halucinagen wormwood, combined with caffiene and alchol. I tried that once and I can remember very little for a big part of that evening. But the photos are great.

Any country has it’s share of intelligent and stupid people. But looking at this site the Americans got more than thier fair share of Idiots. Mabee thats what Green Day were singing about.

To one post, you say that British troops are meat shields? Let look at how many American troops were killed compared to how many went, and how many British troops. The only reason your boys would need a meat shield is cos they are two slow witted to shoot or run from the angry native with 10Kg or 22Lb or 1stone 8 pounds of high explosive. I’m guessing your an ex-service man yourself.

melly August 29th, 2005 9:54 am

great site. 227 diet pepsis and i’m toast.

jumping in the county-pride bitchfest, it’s silly that americans dis other countries. if your ancestors hadn’t come to ‘Bush’ country, you wouldn’t be able to fire off such witty remarks.

i’d like to apologise for the actions of 51% of ah-mer-ih-kuh. the other 49 aren’t dumbasses, i assure you.

ta-ta!

miranda August 29th, 2005 10:30 am

you should add cappichino to the list

WindSlice August 29th, 2005 12:50 pm

well, 10 cups of expresso probely knock you down. If not you probely spend few hours in bathroom.

Gerry August 30th, 2005 8:19 am

You could add Irn Bru for the Scots.

Kathy August 30th, 2005 8:52 am

I wish you had included “Venti” for the Starbucks drinks. You have Tall (small) and Grande (medium).

I only ever get Venti.

javaman August 30th, 2005 3:03 pm

I must be in heaven then. ya goober!

Sam August 30th, 2005 5:49 pm

Wow.

It’s amazing how one can go from seeing how many of their favourite caffeinated drinks they would have to drink to produce the levels of caffeine required to cause death. All the way to world wars, metric and imperial systems, and how great ‘my country and I am compared to everyone else’.

It all made an interesting read, forgot I was sick for an hour anyway.

When will people realise this though? When you make derogatory comments pertaining to any part of how other people live – whether it’s where they live, what they wear, how they choose to use grammer (some people actually sound quite young still young teenagers no doubt), what they dont know, religion, race, absolutely everything (even whether or not they use metric or imperial)- you are showing other people how insecure or insignificant you think you are. How much better you think they might actually be.

Basically who gives a rats arse?
All I’m interested about is, is it legal for Buzzwater to be that high in caffeine? Imagine the side effects from withdrawal. Scary.

caz September 1st, 2005 6:57 am

you people arguing over which is more…pounds/kilos…go look on the bathroom scales? and whatever happened to the american quarter? i do belive that is 25 cents?
