Death by Caffeine Comments

Well as soon as I posted that last thing about “being heavily linked,” a few people pointed out that I’m also linked on the AOL home page. With 137 comments on the page, the load is just too high… so if you have any comments on it, post them here!

Afer you add kilos, could you add stones to the units?

Thanks

Then how about tons, I want to know how many creme sodas it would take to kill a battleship.

After I read this I realized two things:
1. This is a complete wast of time (but really awesome)
2. What if I were to drink different drinks like Pepsi Edge and the Surge? Then how long would it take to “KILL ME”.

Kokoa August 19th, 2005 12:02 pm

DEATH IS JUST A DRINK AWAY!!! ;)

What if everyday you gave your 26 pound animal a jolt cola?

[...] So if you know me, you know that my favorite soda is Coca-Cola. And according to this site, it looks like I can drink 291 cans before I die of it. I hope that’s one sitting and not in a lifetime…I would have been dead at least like 20 times then. [...]

what i find most interesting is that people still drink things like coke and red bull and other chemical concoctions that the big multi-nationals sell us, and then they worry about the caffeine intake. the caffeine won’t be what kills you-its all the chemicals and crap that goes into our food supply. also i am astounded and frightened by the level of ignorance and intolerance exhibited on this forum. if this is an example of what our society is made of, then i am well justified in smoking my 9organic homegrown to escape from all the negativity rolling around. anyone tried the nail in the can of coke trick out there? put a nail in a bottle of coke, (for all you slow ones-i mean that you take a building nail and drop it in the bottle) and wait for 2 or 3 days. the corrosive action of the coke reduces the nail and will eventually dissolve it completely-gross!!!! and to think that millions of “smart” canadians and americans drink that shit by the gallon on a daily basis.

Dear God,
what is wrong with you people?
this site is a ‘bit of fun’ I am surprised how many of you don’t seem to be able to allow yourselves a little fun.
All this American/European superiority, wether it’s measuring systems or stereotypes the thing to realise is that PEOPLE can say stupid things without enough knowledge but a lack of knowledge does not automatically indicate stupidity.
The people who are responding to the ‘flames’ are doing nothing more than showing their own lack of confidence in the charges being levied against them and some of the ’support’ has done nothing but bolster the accusers’ case.
Opinions will always cause controversy when displayed on a sounding board as globally diverse as the internet, I just don’t get this thing where everyone that participates online seems to want to do nothing more than spit vitriol at people with different world views; if you let the comments get to you then it is ultimately yourself that is making you angry. If you display that anger on something as banal as this website you only show yourself up as someone who cannot tackle the points of the issue to hand with reason, intellect or knowledge, if you could, people would want to listen; secretly we all like to learn, knowledge gives true confidence.
Lastly: people who respond to stereotypes tend to come across as bigots even those who respond with experience of the stereotype they depict and NO-ONE in their right mind takes a bigot seriously.

And I can’t believe I am the only cuntsack here who drinks Cherry Coca-Cola.
Thanks for listening.

I await the flames.

“put a nail in a bottle of coke, (for all you slow ones-i mean that you take a building nail and drop it in the bottle) and wait for 2 or 3 days.”

What dissolves the nail (must be an uncoated iron nail to work) is the carbon dioxide disolved in the water. This creates a small amount of carbonic acid. Fortunately, this isn’t a problem because of the acidic nature of our own stomach fluids. The acid in our stomach is much worse.

Hmm…

Whoozee, I think I love you.

In an unrelated note, it would take 61.42 shots of Espresso to kill me. But what exactly is a shot of Espresso?

Andy August 19th, 2005 3:02 pm

actually you couldn’t do this, even after chugging a gallon of water you will vomit and keep vomiting until the excess is cleared out of your system, if you continue to try, chances are you will pass out and thus the end of your digesting massive amounts of water on the spot, its the way the body protects itself from its owner attempting stupid things

I think that the imperial system needs to stay. When countries are divided, they are so much easier to invade.

Kiki August 19th, 2005 4:31 pm

Sigh.

For everyone who repeatedly requested Sprite, here is an equasion to figure out how much caffeine you have ingested from n amount of caffeine (n being the number of Sprite cans consumed, m being total ammount of caffeine consumed):

n x 0= m

Oh my gosh!, you might think to yourself. I got zero!! Does that mean Sprite doesn’t have caffeine?!?!

That would be correct. Sprite does NOT contain caffeine.

But Decaffeinated Snapple Green Tea could kill me!! I thought it was caffeine-less too!!, you might cry.

Yes, Decaffeinated drinks do contain trace amounts of caffeine. How crazy is that.

One last thing.. this calculator is obviously assuming that the amount of caffeine ingested is present in the bloodstream all at once. Unfortunately, you have not, in your superior intellect and logic, discovered a flaw in this formula by claiming that “It must be wrong, because I have more coffee in a month, and I’m not dead!!”. So sorry about that.

*Edit*
Sorry, the following paragraph:

Should be changed to:

People, people Metric makes more sense when dealing with smaller units, but for long distances, the Kilometer just makes no sense.
“the Nuke was German?” What the hell? if the nukes were Germany’s WW2 would’ve gone to them because there wouldn’t be a Britain or Russia left to fight.

From some of the comments on this site, sometimes I’m so embarrassed to be American, maybe even human!

josh August 19th, 2005 9:22 pm
