Death by… penguin mints!

So the most frequent request I got, besides adding a bunch of new drinks (which I’ve done), is adding chocolate, mints, and other caffeinated goodies to the database. Well, check out The Caffeine Database and you’ll find the caffeine contents of various mints and chocolates.

Of course, this is all dandy, but what we really want to know is how many penguin mints (or hershey’s chocolate bars) it will take to kill us. Well, I’ve created the Death by Penguin Mints calculator, named for my favorite caffeinated mints (you can get them in bulk at ThinkGeek.com). It also has Turbo Truffles, Hershey’s Chocolate bars (including the with Almonds and Special Dark varieties), Kit-Kat bars, Bawls Mints, Foosh Energy Mints, and Umpf Tablets. Go and check it out!

I just got hooked on a new product I found on Amazon.com. Mojo for Energy-I love the taste of this mint but mostly the effectiveness! Anyone else try it?

I think jolt mints have been my favorite caffeine product by far, although I’m not a caffeine fiend I am into highs and stuff that tastes good. I like how they tasted, and you can eat them fast enough to give your self and increasing caffeine high which you can almost controllably make stronger (if you have enough of them) 1 box came with enough, although I bought about 3 tins of them once. (I can’t find them anymore and I want more of the damn things) I was on not an extreme caffeine high, but it lasted for like 4 days, when ever I felt it fade I would just pop more in. (I don’t go to the point where I don’t sleep though I did sleep very little) Anyway needless to say, I ran out of mints 4 days later, and had probably the worst caffeine head ache crash of my life with a pounding head ache giving way to nausea, I came home from school and spent the rest of the day in my basement on my couch in the dark trying to ignore the pain.

Thats my most memorable caffeine experience lol, the only energy drinks I really drink though are Jolt cola (being my favorite, the one that tastes like coke) and red bulls (I hate how they taste but they work for me when I’m snowboarding and need a lift or run out of energy).

To be honest I hate almost all energy drinks because of there taste, I grew up drinking soda and sugar filled drinks all the time, so if it doesn’t taste remotely good then its not worth drinking no matter what the effects are, I don’t even drink beer and refuse to, how ever I do like mixing liquor and such, its more effective anyway, why the hell would u wanna drink beer, it has less alcohol content and tastes way shittier then liquor (from my experience anyway). I hate monster, its the worst taste ever…

monster turned me off of energy drinks (shit smells like piss and tastes even worse) and jolt got me into em cuz it tasted good, red bull is the first one I’ll tolerate or simply just chug ice cold so I can reap the effects of it afterward.

Actually itd be nice if you had some sort of scale that judged them on taste and effectiveness, give me the most effective and best tasting energy drink and I’m there.
