WTF Happened?!

So, I put together this little caffeine death calculator for fun. Somewhere along the way, it got picked up and stuck on a few major websites. This is what my traffic patterns have looked like:

  • Monday, August 15th, 2005: 52 visitors
  • Tuesday, August 16th, 2005: 69 visitors
  • Wednesday, August 17th, 2005: 7, 318 visitors (wtf?!)
  • Thursday, August 18th, 2005: 63,157 visitors (my head asplodes)
  • Friday, August 19th, 2005 (as of 1:10 pm PDT): 37,250 visitors

I’m not really sure what happened first, but as of right now, I’m linked on some hard-hitting websites, listed by number of visitors sent:

Just by chatting with a few people, I think MetaFilter started the whole thing, followed quickly by del.icio.us, then “the rest.” I guess all I can say is, thanks for the links! Is there anything else you guys wanna see?

Can you do something about the acid contact of drinks like cola and how harmful that is to be people?

You’ve certainly gone mainstream – you can add the NY Times to your list:
