Ya know...anything you eat will make you fat if you do not burn off more than you take in.

Persoanlly as a distance runner, I would love to try it. At 10 miles it could be awesome!

The diabetic comments are partially right on...did you know that really after EVERYTHING is digested...the body runs on GLUCOSE!

OK. Fuel in equals energy out plus energy stored. If you don't use all the calories from Gleukos or any other monosaccharide or disaccharide (sugar) as energy you store it. Yes, this process involves insulin as well so diabetics should be careful. Ultimately, if you like the flavor, use it. There is plenty of data about what the optimum concentration of sugars should be for maximal absorption so look it up. Till then, I like the fact that when you're done you can fold up the container and stuff it in a pocket till you come to a trash can...makes it great for skiing, hiking, etc.

Well crap. Actually, this makes sense. When I drank it before gym, I had a wierd sensation in my stomach, like it was on fire, freezing, and in pain at the same time. Wasn't very fun.

uh, as a diabeetic i know a little about how glucose works, and excess glucose is turned to the most quickly of all foods.

they just use a load of jargon and out of context quotes to put a message that's not quite true across - it only doesn't cause a spike and a slump if you drink it right before running a few laps, and they don't say it doesn't turn to fat, only that fructose and glucose (which take minutes to digest and turn into glucose) are ingredients assosciated with obesity. in fact, they claim the short wait for other drinks to turn to glucose is a slump, which it isn't.

if you drink this your body will release insulin, you'll turn it to a small amount of fat, and if you don't drink more, then you'll use the reest of the sugar in your blood, slump or crash (whatever word you like) and get hungry and tired - it's called the carbohydrate cycle and is the reason fast acting carbohydrates (sugar, glucose, etc) cause obesitt if you eat them too often.

however, should you feel hypoglycaemic (low blood sugar, or crashing to atheletes), then this or any one of the other glucose based sports drinks is a great idea. hence they say iot can be od use to diabetics (it's not easy to get the balance right sometimes).

in short it's marketing gone crazy, as usual.

Oh, and on the website, it says it could replace morning coffee (I love the smell of Gleukose in the mornin'!) Check the FAQ, under the hangover part. Plus, it could double as a blood sugar supplement for the diabetics. But you should talk to you doctor first. Man, this drink is getting better all the time!

I got some of this at 7-11. The punch flavor. Doens't seem to do anything, but I'm really saving it for gym on Monday, in school. It tastes like Gatorade, and is pretty awesome looking. The container anyway. I don't notice much change, but I do feel a bit more awake after drinking it. And I'm only taking sips. That probably has something to do with it.
