What Happens When You Drink 20 Red Bulls?
This happened a while back, but still makes us laugh serves as an example.
48 year old Peter Edwards was caught “swerving from side to side” across the road. The police had trouble stopping him – he overtook their car and almost rammed into a truck. He was eventually stopped using a “stinger device” that punctured his tyres.
Edwards was later tested and found to be free of any alcohol and drugs.
It turns out he had consumed 20 cans of Red Bull. By the sounds of it, he had been drinking these over the duration of a whole night. By our calculations thats about 1.6 grams – still a long way off from a lethal dose – but enough to make you go crazy.
Red Bull made this inane comment: “there is no added benefit in consuming the product in excessive amounts.” Yeah no kidding.

I had somehow expected more spectacular results than ’swerving from side to side.’ I try not to drink caffinated things, so I don’t have personal experience with the effects of large amounts of caffiene, but I was under the impressions that that much caffiene would cause EXTREME HYPERACTIVITY. (The EXTREME coming mainly from the extrapolation that as caffiene causes hyperactivity, large amounts of caffiene would yield roughly proportionate amounts of hyperactivity. And it sounds dramatic.)
I think caffiene only makes you hyper to a certain point, after that i can only imagine it making you feel bad. I have friends who feel the effect of one red bull, where when i drink one, i just feel a little more tired. However, when exerting myself, i feel like i explode more when running.

What idiot would comsume 20 Red Bulls!?!?! I work for the company as a member of the Mobile Energy Team, and all someone needs is ONE CAN to give them energy!!! IF you need more, drink the 12 ounce that Red Bull just came out with. No wonder people are saying energy drinks are bad for you, its stupid people like this who consume 20 Red Bulls and give the brand a bad name because he goes and gets arrested because he drank 20 Red Bulls!!!!
thank you valerie. caffine is not in any way dangereous unless you use it in an abusive way!!! abusive is not drinking two or three cans. abusive is drinking 20!! hey, i mean, im not knockin the guy, ill bet it got him bumpin, but if ur gona purposly drink it to get an extreame buzz than have the self control to not floor it down the road and then run from the police!!
