The Coffee Maker That Forecasts the Weather
Now you can brew your cup of joe and get a weather forecast at the same time.
Salton have created a coffee maker with embedded firmware from Microsoft. The technology is called SPOT (Smart Personal Objects Technology). The coffee maker contacts a nationwide wireless data system — and displays current weather conditions and forecasts.
Cool gadget – but what does coffee have to do with the weather?

I saw a commercial for a cool coffee maker on TV. It’s the one where it’s designed to fit a coffee mug, and you just hold one under there and it will fill it up. Really nice for those of us with shaky hands that always drop and break the pot.
