where can i find the rules regarding labeling of products that may contain caffeine? Is is required to label whether or not an item has caffeine?
There is no listing for Tazo Chai – it would be interesting to see the caffeine content in that vs. the other brands listed.
I love the tart taste of Monster energy drinks. So much for the segway, now, what I’m curious about is the amounts of sugar in various drinks.
Apparently, coffee has caffeine comparable to energy drinks. So why is it that I can ‘feel’ a Monster energy drink shortly after starting on it? Is it the sugar? Would three Hershey bars and a 20oz cup of coffee do basically the same thing as an energy drink? (I’m kind of wondering if all the fancy other stuff is just a way of avoiding admitting to selling a hyper caffeine, hyper sugar drink)
I’d like to see a list like this comparing sugar contents.

I mean, I’d really love it if somebody would hand that too to my ass on a silver platter
I am a little surprised how high Starbucks coffee is in caffeine.
You aren’t kidding, high!
Jolt is an awesome energy drink. It’s the only one that taste like traditional cola. It’s the only way I get all my homework done. I need the boost especially since I work from 4am stay up till about 11pm. I like the traditional cola, silver, and ultra. But I think the other flavors are a bit sugary.
This list shows Rockstar as having 150 mg of caffeine per 16 oz. can, but on my can (and, indeed, on the Rockstar website) it clearly says that the 16 oz. can has two servings of 8.0 oz. each, each with 80 mg of caffeine. Shouldn’t that be 160 mg for the whole can, then?
You losing any sleep over those 10 mgs?
hey, i just thought of something, what about the guarana content of some of these drinks? is it added to the caffeine content?

Hey, can you forward me that study? For medical reasons I cannot have caffeine, and it’s killing me, because I used to drink 6-8 cups of coffee a day with no side effects. Then one day, I ran to the ER with racing heart. Doc says no caffeine. I switched to decaf coffee, but am still having issues with drip coffee. Isn’t there ANYTHING with almost zero caffeine? HELP!
This is making me thirsty, haha!
[...] I decided to do a little digging and find out which energy drink or coffee packs the biggest punch. And boy do I have results. Let’s take a look at Energy Fiend’s Caffeine Database (which also has links and reviews). [...]
