Diet Barq’s Root Beer has no caffeine according to the label of the 12 oz cans. That’s not what you’d expect, since the sugared version DOES contain caffeine.

“Hello Boss” premium iced coffee. 11.5 fl. oz./340 ml. Says “over 200 ppm,” which means little to me other than that I know it’s a decent boost for my tastes.

My suggestion: Check out the Asian coffees like this one.

How much caffeine do the 7-11 slurpees have? I’m interested in the amount in the coke slurpees and in the new “energy drink” slurpees that have recently come out.

ted January 27th, 2009 1:32 pm

Dee i added the 7 Eleven slurpees to the full database. Full throttle, Monster, Pepsi, the mountain dew versions are caffeine free.

Details on the Black Mamba Venom energy drink by Dr Pepper/7up group?

I was hoping to find out the caffeine content of 8oz of the Starbucks breakfast blend Coffee that you make yourself at home? Thanks!

i’d really like to know how much caffeine is in my pre-workout drink i LOOOVE what it does to me but the caffeine label is deceptive at best. it’s called N.O. Explode

Rosanne February 14th, 2009 6:38 am

Could you tell me the caffeine content of the alcoholic beverage Kahlua? I used to love to drink black russians, but seem to get anxious from caffeine. I am actually trying to wean myself back onto caffeine after a 10 year hiatus. Chocolate contains so many endorphins that I feel I’ve been missing out on sweet bliss. I recently had a piece of dark chocolate cake-I was surely in heaven. How sweet it is!!!

Red Bull Cola! Surprisingly missing.

Head’s up! If anyone is drinking Ocean Spray Cranergy because the ingredient list doesn’t show Caffeine, don’t be fooled. Cranergy has about 8.75 mg/oz of Caffeine which is on par with Red Bull. I just drank one this morning and I wondered why I was so full of energy. I just hope it wears off in time for me to go to sleep tonight! I’m going back to VitaminWater!

I asked 4C via email how much caffeine and taurine was in Energy Rush and they responded by telling me it was proprietary information. Jerks. I can tell you this though, whenever I have this product, I am practically bouncing off the walls. There must be quite a large amount of caffeine in it because I’m used to drinking energy drinks all the time and they do not have much of an effect on me. I like to have one of these before I go out and get loaded for the night because it really keeps me going.

I understand from FDA website that drinks labelled Caffeine Free actually contain some level of caffeine. Even 7up, which used to truly be without any caffeine and was labelled NO CAFFEINE recently changed their formula and it is now labelled CAFFEINE FREE. Same with Sprite and many other drinks … even most Odwalla drinks have caffeine added. I wish someone would explore this and expose the true caffeine levels in beverages!

Brian March 9th, 2009 11:39 pm

7-up does have caffeine in it. It is however a low enough amount the FDA considers it a noncaffeinated beverage. but a run on high performance liquid chromatogrography did show a caffeine level of roughly 0.5mg/100mL.

Brian March 9th, 2009 11:43 pm

oops that should be High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

Hey! I’m a big fan of 4C’s Energy Rush drinks as well. On 4C’s website, if you go to the products and then Energy Rush, under the Nutrition Facts it has a little green memo that states that the energy rush has 80mg of caffeiene per 8oz.

Cheers!

ted March 11th, 2009 12:15 pm

cheers for the info. Patrick, I’ll add it to the database.
