You left out decaf espresso
Sorry if this is totally incoherent but tonight my friend and I had a caffiene tasting. Think of a wine tasting, but with energy drinks instead! It was great.
The line up:
Monster Khaos
Mountain Dew Amp
Von Dutch
Mad Croc
Jones Energy Drink (Mixed Berry).
The last two are dollar store brand, but weren’t that bad. Monster Khaos was this evening’s “crowd” favorite. We suggest drinking it like whoa. But for now…we’re off to do crazy things.
what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right? I love the site
I would love to add your death by caffeine calculator to my website – any chance…. please? please? please? PLEASE?
Hey Matt! How about Excedrin with a Diet Coke? That’s what I take to ward off my migraines because there’s so much caffeine there (vasoconstrictor).
I think your titles are off when you list the Starbucks Coffee- the most amount of caffeine should be in the “venti” size, then “grande” and the least in the “tall”… they don’t call any of their drinks “short”. How the hell do they get that much caffeine in there I ask when normal brewed or drip coffee is WAY less??
you probably dont have a clue what im about talk about but w/e. ale-8-1 is a ky soft drink. 12 oz has 34 mg of caffeine. its like ginger ale but with special secret ingredients and stuff.
Your chart shows the difference in caffeine content between brewed and drip coffee. But I don’t know how you’re defining “brewed” and “drip”? Would you explain these terms? Thank you.
Joseph:
Good point. I think of drip, well, like everyone thinks of drip.
As for brewed, there’s 2 different ways, and I should probably make it clearer in the list.
First, there’s french press-brewing. Basically it’s like drip, but the coffee & water mix for long, making for a stronger flavor.
The other way is pressure-brewing. It’s like an oldschool espresso method where you have a piston and steam/water pressure a lever, and you manually force the water through the coffee, but it’s not espresso — it’s coffee
. It’s about 30% less caffeinated that drip brewed coffee, which is consistent with the numbers shown, so I think that’s the one I meant.
hey…SITE OWNER…Starbucks SMALL, TALL, and GRANDE (8oz, 12oz, 16oz) are ALL listed at 10mg. kinda stupid. how do you add more of the same thing and the caffeine stays the same. For your info…if you call starbucks, they say EACH 8oz of DECAF coffee is about 5mg of caffeine. So your wrong list should be 5mg, 8mg, 10mg
I drink 10 Dr. pepers a day and nothing happens to me, do you know what the problem is?
i wana know exactly how much caffeine is in REDLINE, because u guys dont say
So, you’re missing two things… obviously you don’t live down south…
First, you’re missing Third Rail which has been in Florida since the summer. TR is an energy beer that basically tastes like Miller Lite, & is said to minimize hangovers.
Second, you’re missing the most hilarious energy drink ever (IMHO), “KABBALAH”… no kidding! The signs in front of gas stations down here even say “Harness the power of Kabbalah” or some crazy sh*t like that.
I like your site. I was interested in the “Mints, Chocolate and Others” section.Could you give weight or serving size that the mg of caffeine refers to? A Hershey’s kiss is clear, but a Hershey’s Chocolate Bar varies in size, or at least serving, from a Halloween snack size to a big bar.
Thank you.
Heard about your site on our local radio station. Great job with all your info. I gave up coffee a while ago but the info on my drink of choice, Coke, was really good.
Keep up the great work
what about blue sky blue energy drink?
also fuel cell is missing

What about Spazzstick, caffeinated lip balm?

Don’t forget Tazo Chai and the soda called “Ale-8-one”, made in Winchester Kentucky.
