Diet Pepsi Max: With More Caffeine
PepsiCo is launching a new drink in June: Diet Pepsi Max. The drink will have about one-third more caffeine than Diet Mountain Dew.
Diet Mountain Dew has 55mg caffeine per 12oz – so we’re talking around 75mg caffeine – which is very similar to Mountain Dew Amp.
The drink, Diet Pepsi Max is geared toward consumers ages 25 to 34 who like the buzz of drinks like PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew, but are starting to become more concerned about their weight, the spokesman said (from MSNBC).
Speaking of PepsiCo – anyone notice their new slogan – “More Happy”?
UPDATE: Official – amount of caffeine in Diet Pepsi Max is 46mg per 8oz. Thus a 12oz can contains 69mg.

This is indeed a great tasting soda. As for everyone commenting on Pepsi Max staying on the market…It has been on the market for over 10 years already (1993 I believe), in about every country but the US. Due to the FDA not aproving a certain ingredient in the soda (Acesulfame Potassium I believe is it). So as for longevity, Pepsi Max has already had a pretty long run.

I love the new diet Pepsi max. It doesn’t taste like a normal diet soda. I like how it doesn’t have a after taste. I was hooked the first time I drank one.I hope it is here to stay. Great Job Pepsi!!!
Other than Diet Mountain dew this is the only diet soda I like. I can barely taste the diffence from normal pepsi to this one…this better stay in the U.S. market.
you still need to add more caffeine around 150mg,12ozs.
I agree with the others this is a fabulous diet soft drink. I am 55 and was weaned on Pepsi. Changed to Diet Pepsi when I needed to loose weight. I really like the bite Pepsi gives over Coke. Diet Pepsi Max gives us more bite.

I have tried Diet Pepsi Max, and it actually has almost the same taste as the regular Pepsi and Diet Pepsi. I have always loved soda. I’ll always go for them, although I would try not to drink too much. I could drnik several cans of soda, especially the Diet Pepsi Max. I also like Coke. All the types of soda, too. And everything, every type of soda, will always be my favorite. Big Time!

There is MORE caffeine per 12 oz. so take caution, I am having headaches! I am a 5-8 Pepsi drinker and don’t want all the calories. This MAX TASTES GREAT! I just didn’t know about the Caffeine amount, OUCH!

Just tried this last night, and I am hooked. I love Diet Pepsi, but I will only be drinking Diet Pepsi Max from here forward. And contrary to some of the others posted here, I actually think it tastes better than regular Diet Pepsi . . much less artificial. This stuff rocks!
I can’t STAND diet pop as a rule, but tried Diet Pepsi Max on a whim, and I am hooked. I think its the next best thing to a cold Pepsi….without the calories. This is a great product, I hope its always as available as it was today!
I do not drink many diet sodas. I do not care for the taste. But I have been drinking Diet Pepsi Max since i first tasted it a couple weeks ago. Hope it stays on the market. It is helping me kick the regular cols habit.

Just tried pepsi max and thought it was awesome; didn’t taste like diet at all. I got on the internet to find out why it was so good and what this “max” was all about.. i’m a little urked to find out that it was the caffiene content. they should state so on the bottle.
I love Diet pepsi Max! I am a caffeine addict to some point as well as a diabetic. I love the fact that it tastes nothing like a diet drink and gives me the energy I need to keep up with my 1 year old son and work 10+ hours a day at my job. Thanks Pepsi for bringing this to the market. I just hope that it is easier to find than my other favorite, Diet Pepsi Vanilla. Word to the wise though…..Even though they taste wonderful, DO NOT drink 6 12 oz. Pepsi Max then attempt to go to sleep for the night. It’s not going to happen! I learned my lesson on that!

I am a fan of all cola’s and this is the first diet soda I can honestly say, “Does not taste like all the others”. It has a sweet taste which does not seem like it’s a diet drink…so it’s great for those of us who love sugar but are watching the calories. I was a little nervous about all the caffeine but when I sat down and figured out how many sodas and coffee that I drink in one day, it really isn’t alot. So, whoever hasn’t tried it…please do. It’s worth a try. And, Pepsi, I hope you are listening…cause hopefully you will keep this one on the market for many years. Thanks for a great product!
