NuSpeed: The Most Powerful Energy Drink?

nuspeed1.jpgNuSpeed – from Nutricor Labs claims to be the best tasting, strongest energy drink on the market. Well, so what, anyone can claim that.

The warnings that come with it are a little sobering.

Always begin use with 1/2 can (8oz.) of NuSpeed RTD daily to assess tolerance. Never exceed more than two cans daily or more than on can in a four-hour period.

That kind of a warning is reminiscent of VPX Redline – who currently hold the dubious distinction of being the most powerful energy drink.

NuSpeed comes in a tall green 16oz can. It has a water melon flavor. Exactly what is in it remains unknown. All we know is that it can “pack a walloping 1,095mg of actives per serving”. Which is a load of meaningless twaddle.

I can’t wait to see what’s in it, they’ll have to tell sometime. How long until we see reports of people being hospitalized on this one do you think? Bets anyone?

The anoying thing is, I’m going to have to try this one too. I got the Redline syrup as soon as I could, but that was off an online retailer. I haven’t seen it sold locally, so does anyone have an idea of where I could get some of this stuff (No 7-11s around here, so any other ideas?)

NuSpeed appears to be targeted towards bodybuilders – so we’re talking fitness and nutrition shops and Gyms.

Hey “Caffeine Fiend”, it seems that you own this website, so what is your name, so if need be, I can address you properly.

this stuff is dangerously to powerful, i am an experienced weightlifter and supplement often with energy drinks. yesterday the owner of my gym told me about the product. an hour after purchase i found myself being helped up off the floor. it gave me severe palpatations and breathing problems. would not recommend this to anyone.

hmm… i gotta try this

I tried this several months ago. I love energy drinks, but this one made me feel sick. I drank 1/4 of the bottle slowly and my heart started racing and I started to sweat. Not fun.

I had just a few sips of NuSpeed (>4oz) before my run and I ran effortless for an hour without drinking anything else! Normally I start fading after about half hour, but this time I actually kept my initial pace to the end. It is clear that you need to start with small doses, until you know your tolerance level (as specified on the bottle. Two thumbs up!

Oops, meant to say

And again :(

“Less than 4oz”

Does this have more caffeine than redline?

I’m not a bodybuilder or anything, though I had no problems when I chugged the small 8oz can.

Kalmah March 11th, 2007 2:35 pm

I chugged a 16 oz bottle today and got a bit of that initial “energy drink” rush but it wore of pretty quickly and didn’t give me as intense or prolonged a rush as do other products such as Redline, Tight, and Endorush.

Kalmah March 11th, 2007 2:46 pm

By the way…it’s definitely not the best tasting energy drink ever. The after-taste that it leaves in your mouth is nice, but I still give best taste honors to Tight RTD.

I felt a little tired during one of my cardio sculpt workouts, so I grabbed this at the gym. I’m 5′4″ 119lbs, female…..thinking this was just another energy drink, I chugged half the bottle….quickly became incredibly ill, sweating, palpatations, nausea follwed by three sessions of vomiting on the way home. Not good at all. BEWARE of this one. I agree, it’s dangerous.

NuSpeed and EndoRush and a few others are geared more towards athletes and bodybuilders! Just because its natural doesnt mean you cant od. Some drinks are just not for everyone, but being Yoked, having massive musscle and being part of the 2% of the population that fall into the category of “BUILT” obviously isnt for everyone either or it wouldnt be such a small percentage.

I stopped in the local smoothie shop next to my gym to get a preworkout drink which I usually do.I`ve tried basically everything on the market.I got the NUSPEED and drank half while warming up,then sipped the rest after.I did get a slight nausea type feeling but pressed on and can say it gave me a pretty decent boost during training.I will still to this day say the best preworkout products are: BSN NO EXPLODE AND Labradas Super Charge now these 2 products will get you jacked up !!!!!!!!!!! (Train 2 Failure)

I love it, i get it evey friday after the gym, it keeps me up till 3 or 4 am.

Florio October 4th, 2007 7:42 am

Dude I love NUSPEED that stuff is the best i drink like 2 a day. its like coke in a can. my friends a pussy and drank one and look like he wanted to die. it just makes you like really happy. Maybe its the norsynephrine (genetic epinephrine) but this is the best energy drink i have come across!

ChrisLI October 6th, 2007 10:02 pm

Stay away from ENDORUSH especially if you have had anything caffeinated beforehand I accidentally drank more than the recommended dosage a little while after drinking Starbucks Coffee and had to be rushed to the ER… My BP was sky high and it felt like I was going to stroke out, stay far away from this product it is going to kill people…
