Sumseeds: Caffeinated Sunflower Seeds
I’m not joking. It’s not April 1.
Dakota Valley Products have created Sumseeds – roasted sunflower seeds “supercharged” with caffeine, taurine, lysene, and ginseng. Sounds tasty.
Research indicates Sumseeds appeals to a variety of consumers, especially those who engage in highenergy activities such as sports, technology, hunting, fishing and long-haul trucking.
A case costs $25 and contains 12 3.5oz packets of the seeds.
The packet states that the caffeine level is equivalent to a typical energy soda – that’s around 80mg. We will await confirmation.
UPDATE: 120mg caffeine per packet.

Do these seeds come in all flavors of normal sunflower seeds? I’d be really interested if they were available in spicy or ranch flavors.
Beccause the higher powers know that society absolutely needs more caffeine in our products. It’s not bad enough that energy drinks dominate 31% of the teenage population and 87% of the total population drink at the very least one 12oz. can of soda: claiming to buy at least one everyday.
But now we can eat it.
Allah be praised…
[...] seeds of destruction [...]
Weighing in here – I worked on the bag design and have eaten more Sumseeds than probably anyone outside of the processing facility. They’re extremely good – one thing fans will notice is the lack of “bad” or funny tasting sunflower kernels.
Other flavors are in the works – of course, you’ll hear about them here, first. I know the plant is fulfilling orders – they’re cool people and will gladly take your money for a case. http://www.sumseeds.com
Oh – you get a free shirt. Any color you want as long as it’s black.
What a fantastic concept!!! If major league baseball players get a hold of them, then look out. We’ll be seeing home run records broken, more third base steals, squeeze bunts, more scratching than ever before!! Eeewwwwwwww!!!!

How many of the world’s products have to have caffeine in it? I mean soap, gum, spray, ect. Now Seeds. (Hey, I’ll try it once.)
