Java Monster: Coffee-flavored Monster Energy
We finally have some more details and pictures on the new Monster energy drinks – called Java Monster. There are three flavors: Big Black, Loca Mocha, and Mean Bean.
This, from an Energy Fiend reader:
The mean bean has a mild vanilla flavor, and the Mocha is slightly chocolaty! The two taste very similar, and resemble a coffee flavored milk more than anything else.
The can boasts “half the caffeine of regular coffee, twice the buzz”
In terms of formulation, Java Monster appears to contains the same “Energy Blend” as straight Monster.
Not quite sure about the “half the caffeine” bit. Monster contains about 70mg caffeine per 8oz – so presumably Java Monster is the same.
Anyone else tried it?

Hey Andrew.. My sources tell me that all Hess & B.P Connect locations in the Orlando/Cocoa area’s have all 3 Java Monster flavors available, so Drink on my friend and enjoy!!
You can find these at 7-11 stores in the Detroit Metro area. I first started seeing them about a month ago, and after 2 weeks they were all gone… word from one of the 7-11 managers is that they’re selling so well they’re hard to keep in stock.
I’ve found myself driving around looking for other stores that carry them, they’re so good. The taste is great: a smooth coffee flavor, not too sweet, not too coffee-y, and they give you a nice long buzz. My favorite is the “Big Black.”
Fortunately, I got my fix this morning. The store second-nearest to my house got some in stock (the delivery guy was still in there when I showed up) so I bought as many as I could carry.
If you love coffee, these are highly addictive!
I have returned to comment once again to say that all 3 flavors are available in the small community I live in now (West Central Missouri). I started with Loca Moca and was hooked. However, I tried Mean Bean today for the first time and it has dethroned my obsession with Loca Moca! The flavor/taste of Mean Bean is something to be reckoned with! If you havent tried it ye I strongly recommend doing so. Monster have created a MONSTER!
I live in the Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX area and I’ve found them only in 7-11’s and Quik Trip (QT). Does anyone know where to find a package of them instead of just a single can at a time?
i freakin love this stuff! but only one station in my whole town sells them, i know i’ve been looking!
its great. all three actually. nice and easy stores have them, and some gas stations, so far as i’ve been able to find.
Anybody know where to find Big Black in the FL panhanlde, Destin/Panama City area? Got a few cans from a food show and am addicted, thinking about buying it by the case on the web if I must.
Hello, I love ALL of the MONSTER products! I have a really UGLY truck with a new motor in it, I wish that MONSTER would paint my truck like the NEW JAVA MOCHA MONSTER CAN. I would be happy to advertise the products for free in exchange for the artwork. I would be willing to sign a contract for a year to keep the decal/art, possibly appear for promotions, etc. I will be happy to send photos of my truck if you request, the body is straight on it, 1990 GMC 1 ton 454 extra cab 4×4, nice tires on it, MONSTER in appearance, primer paint job for now… thank you, Colorado Springs, Colorado

yo monster is the best energy drink ever and i love it but i cant find all the cans such as the twist top can and i think thats a good idea and i want some. also the JAVA is really good and the can looks awesome!
I just want to know where you can buy it in my area. Have found one small service station and that is it.Although the Monster brand is in Walmart…not the Java. Help….

Seems to be a problem. I have tasted Java Monster through a friend who has a hookup. However, I have not been able to find it in any grocer/retailer in the Houston/Spring, TX area. Can you tell which retail/health stores distribute this drink in my area
ive only had the loca mocha, and its pretty damn good. im starting to collet all the monster, and pretty much any energy drink i have. any new flavors of monster that we should be expecting?
These are the greatest thing I have ever had! I drink about a pot of coffee a day, now I won’t have to! I manage a gas station in Wisconsin and they just came in today!!!! Here, they are distributed by BUDWEISER, not 7-UP. You can ask the manager if they can special order it for you from their rep. They cost about $36.00 a case of 24. not bad for 1.34 a can instead of almost 3. at the wort, they make you pay full retail price, but I doubt that. Plus, they could start to carry it!!!!
Just bought the Big Black and the Mean Bean at a Walmart here on Hwy 6 and 529. I haven’t tried the Big Black, but the Mean Bean is the best monster I’ve had.
Totally in LOVE! My boyfriend and I used to get up every single morning and drive down to our local coffee shop to get our caffeine fix. NOT ANYMORE! We have switched to drinking one of these everyday and not only are saving money – we went from $9.50 everyday NOT including tip to a simple $4! We are saving our time in the morning as its great having them all stocked up in the fridge – we can find them everwhere here in Montana. Im just wondering if they are good for you in the long run? Some days I drink two – ? is that bad? I love all three flavors – but Mean Bean is my favorite – i think? but I love Big black..oh and when I feel chocolately I love loca mocha – shit I cant pick! try em!
I can’t get enough of this stuff!
