Blow Energy Drink Mix

blow.jpgBlow Energy is a powdered energy drink mix aimed at ultra-hip party-goers. It comes in a vial of white powder - so you too can pretend you are popping some hard stuff into your drink.

From the maker:

“Blow is seductively cool, powerfully effective and our marketing is admittedly edgy.”

“Edgy” means marketing the vial of caffeine as a party drug, along with media promotions showing images of slutty women and pervy men. Not really edgy; the illicit drug thing has been done before - and as for the scantily clad ladies - well that’s as old as advertising itself.

Blow packs a punch: 240mg caffeine and 2000mg of Taurine.

The associations between good ole humble caffeine and hard drugs are a little disturbing. Someone somewhere is seriously going to start getting the wrong idea and wreck it for all the rest of us.

hooolleeeeeeeeeey crap March 27th, 2008 3:56 pm

Why do people like to jack themselves up that much? If the WARNINGS on “HARMLESS” drinks like Monster say that no more than 3 should be consumed in a day, why do people drink twelve at once and like it?

This company may be responsible for some kids going to jail at a later date once this realy hits the market, in Georgia.

§ 16-13-78.2. Possession, manufacture, delivery, distribution, or sale of counterfeit substances

Except as authorized by this article, it is unlawful for any person to possess, have under his control, manufacture, deliver, distribute, dispense, administer, sell, or possess with intent to distribute a counterfeit substance. Any person who violates this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

This marketing tech. used by this company leads me to believe that they do not care about anyone or any kid. They only care about the all mighty dollar.

jk, don’t take these sorts of things so seriously

oh wow. lighten up people. if you want to believe that the people who make stuff like this are “whats wrong in the world” your life is a tad and 16 smidgens too sheltered. its basically a joke product, and if a kid wants to “pretend they’re doing coke”, would you be happier if they were actually doing coke? i know alot of people who actually do coke to be cool, and if your kid is pretending to do “Blow”, then they’re less likely to try the real stuff. also, snorting this stuff would probably be equivalent to snorting half a dozen Pixie Stix, or maybe a Kool-Aid packet or two. Believe it, there are those dumb enough to do it, but all it does is make your nose sore and make you sneeze… alot.
