Products like “Blow” and “Energy Shots” are seriously dangerous. I’m currently writing a report on “energy drinks” for university, and some of the information I have found is really quite disturbing. Did you know that “energy drinks” are only sold in drug stores in Norway? And France and Denmark have banned the drinks altogether? Keep in mind, this information is sourced from academic journals, and not from Wikipedia (like this site).

In 2006 as many as 500 new energy drinks were introduced worldwide, and this number is growing rapidly. The energy drink industry is extremely lucrative, and competing companies are blatantly ignoring the serious health issues relating to energy drinks, just so they can get a slice of the profits.

I don’t mind the odd Red Bull now and again, but when products which have seriously high levels of caffeine, and are so concentrated, are available to “teens”, some serious action needs to be taken by the government. It’s only a matter of time until a child manages to get hold of some “energy shots” and dies. And please don’t give me the pathetic argument that “the child should know better” or “it’s their own fault”. The blame should, and will, rest solely on the producers.

Some of the arguments posted on this site, such as “lighten up” and “don’t take these sorts of things so seriously” are void of any cognitive process whatsoever. I actually feel sorry for some of you people, because you’re so bild to the real issues in the world.

I personally hope that the government acts swiftly and passes legistation to finally bring these products into line.

if kids wanted to be using illicit drugs, they would be. if they wanted to pretend that they are, they would be. it’s not like this product is going to introduce the idea of cocaine to little kids, they learn about that in school and on tv. if a kid is dumb enough to use coke, it’s not because of a drink mix.

Some guy that works for them came into my work today and gave me some. Personally, I think its lame sauce. I haven’t tried it yet, but I gave that guy shit the whole time he was there. I was bagging on his product for like, 10 minutes. It made him want to give me more. Haha. Lame.

i think its an amazing marketing idea. kids love the idea of it being compared to coke. i would buy it. i bet this guys making a fortune. i do understand the fear of people thinking kids will go want to do coke now. but that doesnt mean that they can even get their hands on it. i dont think kids should be able to get the drink. energy drinks are bad for young kids anyway. but it was a great idea. i think the worst thing is that some little dumb kid is going to snort it. lol.

Maybe the “Concerned” parents out there need to talk to their children more to find out about whats going on at their school. Seeing as how thats where a stockpile of drugs are going to. It’s also prob the same place half the parents and people complaining got their drugs back in the day, and just dont want to admit it. But enough about talking to your children about drugs at school and responsibilities like actually being a parent and teaching them right from wrong. Lets go after the fake drug companies! SHAME ON THEM! If you dont like something, dont do it, and leave the rest of us alone! Not everyone thinks alike.

None of you make sense, this product will have no impact as to whether or not teens use cocaine. This is intelligent marketing on the part of the company and nothing else. Worst case scenario some kids will sell it as real cocaine and you will have kids insuffilating caffeine instead of cocaine.
