Caffeine Poster: Periodic Table

LearningZone Express have created a poster – in the shape of the periodic table of elements. However, instead of elements – it shows energy drinks – and the amount of caffeine in them.

Neat idea. Of course you could always just go to the caffeine database.

It would be nice if one could fully preview the damn thing’s content before committing to a purchase. Cute, yes, but it’s not really worth it.

Cute, but what are the relationships between elements in the vertical columns? “Periodic Table” implies “periodicity”. Without that, it’s just a table. And not a very good one, at that.

It looks like something the Health Teacher would come up with. You know the Health Teacher — he’s the football coach who is required to teach *something* to justify getting paid twice the science teacher’s salary. He thinks a Periodic Table has something to do with that girly stuff he’s supposed to teach, but doesn’t ’cause it’s girly.

The science teacher would laugh as he walks by, except that he never goes down that hallway for fear of getting a wedgie.

@ RobertB.
Can’t help but to notice some animosity.

Honestly, to me it seemed more like the sort of thing my middle school health teacher would have employed – she was kind of a fluffbunny, also taught home ec., and didn’t know half as much science as I did and wouldn’t know proper graphic design if it crawled up her nostrils.

Nice lady, though.

I mainly wanted to see the full version so I could pick on it properly. It just doesn’t feel fair harping on a thumbnail, you know? (I can say that the choice of typeface for the header is atrocious – too skinny and geometric for the legibility headers typically require – but that’s only scratching the surface of a true rant.)

…methinks it may not be wise for me to pop Penguin mints like candy this close to midnight.

well, it’s good for an amused smile at least. It’s something I could see hanging on my own wall just for something different that makes people wonder why it’s there because it doesn’t fit in with anything else on my wall. and people that know me and think similarly would also maybe get a smile or possibly even a laugh out of it. so I’m giving it a good comment instead of saying it’s no good like everyone else.

=^.^=

I think from the preview it looks cute. I’m not sure if I should really buy it though. Who would buy a piece of paper for $15? Maybe $2.50-$4.00- maybe…
