Dopamine Energy Drink
Dopamine has to be one of the more original names for an energy drink. Dopamine is actually a brand that sells mostly clothes.
But – like many other brands out there – they’ve added an energy drink in the mix.
Dopamine is “a hormone and neurotransmitter occurring in a wide variety of animals”. It can also be supplied as a medication.

Okay… so strong drug overtones – but not quite as overt as calling a drink cocaine.
Caffeine in Dopamine? These guys have been one of the very few to actually respond to our caffeine queries (most just ignore).

False Advertising! I was so excited when I saw the title on this one, hoping for an energy drink with dopamine, that’d be so sweet. I kinda think that such a drink would be far more dependency-inducing than caffeine alone. And probably controlled by the FDA, much more than your typical energy drink.
DAMMIT. I really wanted to try the dopamine. I’ve experienced raised levels of dopamine through video games and other stuff before but I was wondering what it would be like to artificially do it.

Obviously no dopamine, but where can I pick one up. The title makes me want to buy it anyway.
dopamine isn’t actually in it, even if it were, dopamine can’t cross the blood brain barrier (it’s synthesized inside the brain) so giving a person dopamine would do nothing.

Nice use of a neurotransmitter. That drink may be the first to do so. Next up, Adenosine. Some drink has got to work that title in, it’s the chemical that’s associated with sleep debt.
