Mozart: Chocolate Energy Drink

mozart.jpgThey’re calling it the “World’s First Chocolate Energy Drink“. They’re also branding it with the world’s worst pun: “A symphony of flavors”. Mozart… symphony… not quit sure how that relates to caffeine and inositol. But hey, this is the energy drink market. All the good names already got taken.

Mozart comes in an 8.4 ounce can and includes the mystical proprietary energy blend (L-Carnitine, Sucrose, Caffeine, Guarana, Green Tea, Inositol, Glucoronolactone).

But wait, that’s not all. They’ve thrown in all sorts of weird and wonderful ingredients: Coenzyme Q10, Oat Beta Glucan, MSM, and Mucilaginous-Poly-Saccharides).

About that last one. Apparently it is from Aloe Vera leaves. Mucilage is the gummy stuff inside the leaves. Interesting.

The Chocolate
Enough about mucilage. What about the chocolate? It’s actually “NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL CHOCOLATE FLAVOR”. Which means nothing to us really. Something they managed to cook-up in the lab I guess.

Chocolate flavor. Caffeine. Classical musical prodigy from the 18th Century.

I still don’t see the connection.

Man I so want this. You could make a mean Chocolate martini with some extra kick even. Caffeine chocolate and alcohol. Thats a holy trinity!

You know what’s really weird, I was thinking about what a chocolate energy drink would be like just yesterday.

Sounds interesting. The other mix of energy ingredients is confusing, as to why this is the first drink to contain so many new ingredients. Maybe they’re onto something, or maybe its just part of the marketing.

Loaded with sugar, 35 grams in that little 8 ouncer.

No info about purchasing, dunno where you can get this one.

Or Mozart and Kahlua mixed in a blender and have an iced concoction. Yummy

Where do we get this in NC/Southside VA? I’ve been looking for it, but it doesn’t seem to be in this part of the country.

“World’s First Chocolate Energy Drink”? Right……Still, this does sound interesting (& somewhat weird)! A combo of chocolate & caffeine never hurts in my book! :-) As 4 the name, maybe it’s just a tribute 2 Mozart & music?? Thanks 4 the drink review. -Drinking Amp @ warp speed…

Bet the reason they’re calling it Mozart is because of the ‘mozartkugeln’ chocolate candy that’s common in Germany and Austria and all. If you look at the bottom of the picture it says ’schokolade’, which I think is german for chocolate. So.

This is the most unique energy drink I have ever tasted. The flavor is delectable. Look for it at H.E.B. if you live in Texas.

Shawn:

How can I order Mozart from you?

TatsuMaster March 2nd, 2008 8:52 pm

Actually this drink is fairly easy to obtain, however its a bit on the expensive side for 24 cans. Check it out http://www.balance3.com/mozartcase24.html

I buy Mozart at the HEB in Austin TX. It’s no more expensive than any other e.d. It is delicious and can be mixed with just about everything. The trendy bars in Austin are all coming up with their own Mozart concoctions. It is an energy/vitality drink and is becoming a coffee substitute for Starbuckaholics. MMmmmmm I think I’ll have one right now!
