Redline Princess

Princesses Aren’t Just a Girls Thing Anymore

redline-princess.jpgI’m not sure what percentage of the Energy Drink market is targeted towards girls but something tells me it comes nowhere near as close to that of the Male market. Certain drinks may come to mind when picturing the female marketed drinks such as Tab, Go, and Pink but a new product hits the market today and this time it’s being sold by the originators of the Teenage Mind-numbing Redline product many of you are so familiar with.

Redline Princess might not sound intimidating to some of you but let me tell you, it’s in a whole new league, better yet it IS the new league. The Princess comes in three flavors; Erotic, err I mean *Exotic Fruit, Grape, and Green Apple and I have yet to taste one that came anywhere close to leaving me with the squinty-eyed electro-shock look I’ve felt from so many other drinks (ahem SPIKED cough cough). The Grape flavor went down smooth and resembled a vita-water type taste to it, no complaints here.

The drinks come in the usual Redline 8 oz bottles and seem to be empty before you notice you’ve drank any. Let me explain this, there’s a reason mixed drinks like Apple-tini’s are called girls drinks, and this happens to be the exact same reason this is called a girls energy drink. No burn, no pain, but ALL the benefits.

No matter what anyone says, this is by far one of the best tasting drinks out there.

And that’s not even the best part; Vital Pharmaceuticals included a feel good chemical Beta-Phenylethylamine HCl (PEA). If you’re unfamiliar with this chemical let me quickly explain.

The theory that Chocolate acts as a Love drug aphrodisiac is solely backed by the presence of THIS additive. Among similar lines it is also closely related to ephedrine, ecstasy, AND mescaline. Granted you’re not going to be staring at your wallpaper after drinking this but I definitely felt a pleasant head “euphoria” I guess you could call it. Any other descriptions would be elementary sounding such as “fluffy” and “cushioned” so I’m going to stick with euphoric.

In all I stayed alert throughout more than half of the day and that was AFTER coming off of a rough night of sleep, to any of you who are just looking for a good tasting, energizing drink (Even you guys out there). I would definitely suggest picking this up at your local 711. You might have to check more than one, it seems to be taking them some time to distribute their supply.

Why do they have to go and destroy a good energy drink experience for guys with a name like that?

I thought of giving it a try today and refrained for fear of what the cash register guys would think.

BAMS December 17th, 2007 2:52 am

Does anyone know what local stores carry it? (i.e. walmart, target??)

scum1 December 17th, 2007 7:07 am

I have a bottle of this in my fridge right now I picked up last week(I’s of drank it but there are about 40 others in there I have to try first). I expect it to be very similar to redline(which you can get at Walmart). There is also Redline Extreme which comes in Grape and Green apple just like princess but might be more male friendly to be seen with. The Redline extreme taste great too. Thirdly there is Redline Rush which is an energy shot that comes in the exotic fruit flavor. If you have not tried redline you should. It is one of the top lines of what some call extreme energy drinks. These are super potent drinks these ain’t no kiddie drinks.

@Dusty - it’s not their fault that you care about what some random guy thinks of you buying a drink

Dusty December 17th, 2007 1:16 pm

@BAMS - I found it at my GNC

@zzZzzZZzz - You’re right about that. I was just using that as a general instance of what people think when they see a guy with it, and how it affects me. I know I’ll go get it soon enough, it just deterred me at first.

Also Josh, the Rip-It Chic line belongs in your post among other female targeted energy drinks.

im drinking redline princess at this very moment becuase i was trying to look up what the ingredients do to u cuz its so crazy it keeps me up for days-that is if u drink more than one bottle .it tastes like juice little kids would drink. not like nasty redbull..nothing like any energy drink ive had..

KarlieMildraed December 21st, 2007 8:22 am

I am not touching this one. I am female and am not attracted to a drink called Princess. Energy Drinks are geared towards the masculine for a damned good reason. They give you energy power.

scum1 December 22nd, 2007 8:34 am

Karlie you should try it. It’s Redline! Redline is never wimpy. These will kick the butt of most energy drinks. Go ahead and drink the whole bottle of Redline princess and tell me it ain’t got kick.

SHADE December 23rd, 2007 7:21 pm

Im a guy and i tried it. Exotic fruit actually tasted better than the original redline. Also put me in a better mood go figure. I drank it as a joke to see what the fellas would say with me holding it. Im gonna keep buying it.

HOBOBOB December 28th, 2007 2:18 am

just had this today..tastes like a green apple lollipop…delicious

Karen February 9th, 2008 10:36 am

Mood enhancement? Maybe but energy? NOT with Princess. A half of Regular Redline gives me a kick and gets or keeps me going. Princess did sh*t :( Guess I’ll have to try a whole bottle . . .

Shasling February 15th, 2008 10:50 am

By far the best taste and energy/mood/fat loss drink everr

Michelle February 16th, 2008 3:03 pm

MMMMMMMM! I just tried this drink yesterday and I REALLY liked it. I don’t care that it says princess. I’m by far not a princess-y girl either but I like pink :o). The bottle is what attracted me to it initially. I’ve only tried the exotic fruit, but am going to go and try the other two flavors. This is the ONLY energy drink I have actually enjoyed. Yeah VPX!

Michelle February 16th, 2008 3:05 pm

Oh yes, and the other thing I love….zero calories!

Heather March 5th, 2008 2:22 pm

I started with the original redline, not being a caf. drinker at all (no pop, coffee, ect) it gave me a kick! Then I stopped and went to the extreme, which gave me WAY to much of a boost! I was at gnc the other day and tt the employee who said that the princess is a great drink for working out. I have been drinking it for 3 days now and LOVE it. This drink is NOT for men though, and you would know that if you did some research on the label and ingredients you would know that. The employee at gnc said that men should NOT drink this because of the estrogen levels it contains, just a thoughT men ;)

josh March 5th, 2008 5:42 pm

@ Heather, I have done extensive research on this product and I’d be interested in what the GNC employee thinks is considered estrogen? Having drank this I know it might be tempting to try keeping it for women only but nothing that I have found is related to estrogen. I have looked up each individual ingredient including Phenethylamine (PEA)and although some of them have shown to have a GREATER effect on women then men, they still provide similar effects. If estrogen were present I’m positive there would be much larger warning labels (not to mention a “Do Not Drink If You Are Male” sticker on the front) as well as extensive listing of such chemicals among the ingredients.

I bought a four pack just yesterday. I am a aspiring female fitness/figure model who lifts like the boys and i can honestly say it was the best product i have ever tried as far as energy goes. Other supplements lines such as BSN and Gaspari products offer products that increase lean mass and burn fat but don’t give you the Energy boost they are suppose to! I am a tough critic and i was throughly satisfied…Thanks Redline

levi March 23rd, 2008 2:30 am

strait up,its targeted to richard simmons drones……….

Greg April 17th, 2008 11:14 am

Heather,
The last perosn I would trust concerning my supplementation is a clerk at GNC.

As a former employee of VPX I can assure you that there is no ingredient in Redline Princess that is estrogenic.
Princess was and still is my favorite drink in the REDLINE Family.
For the recored I am a 42 yr old MALE!( with no gyno!)

Joe May 8th, 2008 11:53 pm

I’m a male and consider drinking it. There’s no side effects for men, right?

dawn June 21st, 2008 3:04 pm

The GNC clerks statement that it has estrogen or enhances estrogen production in any way at all is beyond idiotic.

It’s a great product, same kick as regular redline. The male trainers I work with are drinking it and carrying the pink bottle to make people laugh. As far as I’m concerned there isn’t enough marketing to the princessy girl in fitness…I’m proud to be a girly-girl that lifts like a guy.
