Redline Power Rush

VPX Pharmaceuticals have added another formulation to their Redline line-up.

Redline Power Rush is a small “energy shot” drink. These drinks have become popular over the last 6 months – a few gulps and all the caffeine you could ever want.

Power Rush is just 2.5 ounces but packs in 350mg of caffeine. For comparison, a shot of espresso (1.5 ounce) has around 77mg of caffeine.

Redline have a number of warnings: Not for those under 18, and only 1/2 a bottle should be consumed within a period of 7 hours – which makes one wonder why they didn’t just make the bottle 1.25 ounces in the first place.

The drink is sweetened with sucralose (Splenda). It also contains N-acetyl-L-Tyrosine and Beta-Alanine. It lacks some of the ingredients of its big brother Redline RTD (such as Evodiamine).

Power Rush joins an ever expanding list of “shot” drinks: Jolt Endurance Shot, 5-hour energy, Powershot, Upshot, Fuel Cell, Ammo

Good gawd, it’s the new king of caffeine concentration. And to think, I used to fear Spike Shooter

Hobobob,?

What does this one taste like? I have not liked the other products that Redline VPX have put out.

Just wondering

@Karlie

I haven’t tried it yet, I’m waiting until this weekend, though I will ask scum for you. Also, have you tried Redline Princess?, it has a pretty good taste in my opinion, and in either case, this shot is so small, that you won’t have much time to taste it either way.

Well it taste similar to regular Redline but a little more bitter since it is a shot. I like most all of the Redlines including the princess. I’d say if you don’t like the Regular Redline you won’t like the shot. It’s only a shot though so really taste is not that important to me.

Thank Hobobob and Scum1

I’ll stick to my Jolt Cola, Red Bulls and Starbucks. I go with what I know works for me.

Thanks again.

they should start putting ephederine in energy drinks, they would be alot more speedy (ephedrine is natural speed)

I’ve tried redline princess 4 times now, usually take it right before i work out. I ran for a full hour on the treadmill and still had plenty of energy left over to lift weights and do more cardio; and that was only half a bottle–as they recommend you to only drink.
I think this drink tastes very sweet almost syrupy, so

I usually gulp it down in a shot (then wash it down with water.) If it didn’t taste so “medicine” like, I would probably drink it more often, instead of saving it only for my workouts.

I like the grape it was very good. I drank the whole bottle and I am sure I am going to feel a kick here pretty soon. I am at work and I I think its already working. I am going to take it with me on my trip to Chicago so I can have the energy I need to take my son to the museums and all over Chicago.

My favorite energy shot by far. No taurine (taurine really out for whatever reason), huge amount of caffeine, solid ingredients otherwise. I like the grape flavor a lot as well, though I know that many people hate artificial grape.

Very different from Redline RTD(/Princess/Xtreme) or Redline (syrup).

@levi: ephedrine is *not* “natural speed” and is illegal when used as a dietary supplement in many countries, including the US. If you live in the US, you just get some ephedrine HCl over-the counter and take a pill with your energy drink.
