Anabolic Leucine Stack: Anyone?

Has anyone tried this stuff? This is day two for me and I feel surprisingly good considering it’s mainly caffeine (195 mgs. Woot!). I’m usually not a fan of coffee because it makes me all sketchy and fast-talky and basically a pain in the ass. Slightly less so with energy drinks, which is why I usually opt for the can instead of the cup with the little sleeve thing. I’ve always figured the difference must be all the glucoronos or the roots or whatever they put in the drinks, so I’m curious to see what this does because it has none of that. Just a lot of caffeine and some silly weightlifting stuff. That’s cool with me though because I also happen to enjoy the silly weightlifting.

Now, I’M NOT A DOCTOR.

In fact I’m the last person in the world (except for maybe either of these guys) from whom you should be taking medical advice. Trust me on this. Just the same I can’t imagine any of the other stuff really being bad for normal people. It’s just some Aminos and some Creatine. Neither of which–I’m now realizing–I’ve really taken the time to fully understand before dumping them down my throat, but whatever. I don’t know for sure about taking this stuff if you don’t work out though, so don’t blame me if you develop gynecomastia or grow a freaking beard or something.

So I had a scoop yesterday morning with a little bit of water and I was pretty cooked for about two hours or so. I also had a full-fledged mothereffer of a workout, which is saying something because I’m not exactly known for my tenacity in the gym these days. It gradually tapered off and by 11ish I was just about back to baseline. After lunch I was just about starting to consider a Red Bull when the second wind from hell came on and I was flying for most of the afternoon. Not out of control flying mind you, just flying enough to make me wonder if anyone else could tell. Just flying enough that I found myself smiling for no reason.

Then I went to sleep and that was it.

So I’ve got no real complaints so far. It tastes absolutely horrible. Just terrible. Like, I don’t even know like what. Just bad. If you could see the face I’m making right now you’d know. That’s not really a complaint so much as an observation though. Good times overall.

Is it too far out on a limb to think I’m not the only EF reader with a bucket of Anabolic Leucine Stack in his kitchen? The only one on my block who had some Anabolic Leucine Stack for breakfast?

“Hey dude, you wanna go get something to eat?”

“Oh no man. I’m cool. I had some Anabolic Leucine Stack for breakfast.”

“Right on.”

Oh shit. That makes me laugh.

Well, it does have caffeine, but I’m not sure about using creatine if you’re not doing some intense physical work.

Also, it’s called “anabolic,” so I presume it (ideally) puts the body in an anabolic state(?)
