McDonald’s Coffee is Weak and Generally Not That Impressive

I just had to get that off my chest.

I don’t get a chance to eat there too often, so I don’t know exactly when they started this whole iced coffee bit. I tried one this morning and was shocked–like, shocked to the point of audibly gasping–at how big this cup of coffee was.  For two dollars I got freaking a gallon of coffee. This cup would easily be 55 or 65 dollars at Starbucks. Easily.

So here’s a piece if my morning thus far, I started with that little pang of Morgan Spurlock guilt that I’m sure we all get when we acknowledge the fact that we are about to eat at McDonald’s.  Then my curiousity was slightly piqued when I saw the iced coffee on the menu.  Then I was actually kind of happy when the girl handed over this behemoth that’s sitting on my desk.

Now I’m just disappointed because I drank the whole thing and I feel just slightly more peppy than I would had I drank a gigantic cup of iced sugar milk.

Editors’ Note – thanks for that interesting rant Garrett. We will consider ourselves duly warned

I used to work at McDonald’s and this review is pretty truthful. You fill a cup full of ice, and superfluous amount of cream and liquid sugar and then fill it up to a line with coffee. While it may taste good it doesn’t pack much caffeine or coffee.

I had a large one a while back. It was freaking huge. I got a large buzz which surprised me. I actually did not finish mine because I was getting too wired. Maybe they did not follow directions when they mixed mine. I had the vanilla. My main bitch was that they did not have a Mocha. How can you sell iced coffee and not offer mocha! Only Vanilla and hazelnut.

They added a caramel in my area. Not sure if it’s national or not. But, yeah, no mocha is clownshoes. unfortunately, I have to give it up, now that I am diabetic. Bummer.

McDonald’s blows at everything, from the burgers to the fries to their poor attempt to compete with coffee chains.

They simply must think to offer the masses an espresso option or a spontaneous boycott and clown hazing is inevitable.
