Wow! Only 5 calories per serving? That’s a real bargain, considering the competition. I haven’t seen it in any supermarket yet, though. Waiting for a taste review :)

I actually bought some of that last year. It isn’t near as good as REAL energy drinks, but with the price and amount of calories, I think I’ll be sticking with Power Edge.

At the wal-mart I work at this stuff was clearanced down to $1 for a 6pack and still wasn’t selling. I tried it and managed 1 before throwing the rest away.

You have to be a bit extreme to just drink these with water. They have another flavor in a yellow packet that is more manageable. I find they work well when added to other things. Like when I make a smoothie or something similar.

They are not bad. I can’t drink them though becuase of an aspartame allergy, but before I found out I had that, I thought the taste was OK.

They aren’t half bad, but if you want the good-tasting stuff, try Morning Spark (also by Sturm Foods). They have Apply, Orange, Cranberry and Grapefruit flavors that taste like real juice (the orange is like Tang tho).

I got myself into real trouble one morning when I first bought these and downed a bottle of Apple and a bottle of Cranberry…they tasted so much like real juice I had forgotten they were caffeinated…until I got jittery and sick to my stomach. (each tube had 200mg of caffeine or so)

These things are truly disgusting-i have had two boxs for 5 months and only drink them by mixing them with 4 oz of water or juice and a chaser cause they taste so bad.

These are probably one of the worst energy drink powdered supplements that I’ve ever has the displeasure of drinking. Sure, they’re low-calorie, though, why sacrifice taste for a mere 10-20 calories?

If you’re honestly that worried about calories, you probably shouldn’t be drinking energy drinks in the first place :) .

I have both this and morning spark (same company). It tastes no worse than diet soda does (aspartemane), though there is more caffiene in this stuff so it is a little more bitter. I found it at a Walmart for $2.00 a box of 10 sticks. For 20 cents a serving, the taste is fine. Sometimes I’ll mix with gatorade for better taste or even mountain dew, if I really need the caffiene! One of the cheapest caffeine sources I’ve found (right after pills).

They have changed the ingredients to this product. It still costs the same but there is hardly anything in it. I use to drink it a lot, but noticed in the past couple weeks the energy factor was gone. I read the ingredients and compared to an old box, and they had taken nearly everything out. All thats really in there now is some caffeine. You can get more energy from a mountain dew!! Sturm Foods SUCKS!! Lost this customer to your rip off tactics!

horribly bitter, evenif you’ve aquired a taste for energy drinks, tastes ok if you double the water but with caffiene in such low doses could you still call it an eenergy drink? and the final straw is the grit at the bottom of the glass that never quite dissolves, even in warm water, with that in mind you have to ask youself if youre even getting all of the vita’s and caff listed on the box. if you wanna be cheap go to big lots and buy some rockstar, i found 24 packs there for $10.00

For $1.99/10 pk @ Wal-Mart, they are hard to beat! I would rather have a red bull or NOS, but in terms of cost and ease of aquisition, these actually seem to be good. Taste fine (wild berry) and gives a little boost. Would recommend

do not buy...STAYAWAY!! August 27th, 2008 7:53 pm

these are the wost energy drinks that i have ever tasted. these are worse than trying to down a horrible bottle of creatine. YUK!

I am deployed to Bagram Afghanistan, and since my deployment last year in Baghdad the leading “gets ya going” drink was the 8oz RIP-ITs. But here in Bagram, only one chow hall has a regular supply and everyone raids it. The BX/PX had these PowerEdge mixes and I have tried Wild berry, Lemon-Lime and my favorite is Tangerine-Strawberry. I mix them with a package of Crystal Lite Raspberry Ice with 1000 ml bottle of water. It lacks the carbonation of the RIP-ITs but very drinkable. I like them because they are portable and mixable. Just my 2 cents worth.

I LOVE THE BERRY FLAVOR. WHEN I FIRST STARTED DRINKING THEM THEY GAVE ME QUITE A BUZZ, I WAS SO HYPER I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I AM NOW USED TO THEM AND QUITE ADDICTED. IF I DONT DRINK ONE BY NOON EVERY DAY I GET A MASSIVE HEADACHE. BUT THEY ARE SOOO GOOD I CANT GIVE THEM UP. THEY ALSO PASS THRU YOUR KIDNEYS VERY FAST, WHICH PROBABLY ISNT GOOD FOR THEM.

Thought these things were pretty tasty, and gave a decent buzz.
Not amazing, but not bad at all.

And cheap to boot.

Worth a try to anyone who hasnt.

I have been drinking power edge for over 2 and half years and LOVE IT. I drink one in the morning and after lunch. Feel like I can’t get through the day without it. Hoping to get new flavors available at my local Walmart. They only have the Wild Berry flavor and are often out of it. So I stock up when available.

I absolutely love these energy powders. I’ve gotten everyone in my office hooked on them. I have to have caffeine everyday or else I get migraines but I have cut out soft drinks. I don’t like the tangerine strawberry because of the after taste but the wild berry is wonderful. With the rise in food costs…well the rise in everything you can’t beat the price.

Turnspike December 12th, 2008 2:49 pm

I have been using Power Edge off and on for 6 months now. I can really appreciate the price, and I can get my caffeine fix without chugging anything syrupy or carbonated. The taste is fine (think Crystal Light). It also gets me to drink 16oz of water, which saves me from the dehydration I usually get from staying caffeinated all night. I have also tried their breakfast-targeted brand, Morning Shock, and like that as well. Nothing like the twang of Ruby Red grapefruit to cover up the twang of caffeine.
