Mad Croc Energy Drink
I recently had a reptilian encounter with a little energy drink called Mad Croc, well sort of anyway.
I stumbled across this drink at a local supermarket in Maryland while looking for some different energy drinks to review.
The can did peak my interest because of the big red crocodile on it and my fascination with the beast Steve Irwin made famous. Could this drink possible bring out the beast in me? I couldn’t wait to see.
I had to buy a four pack, so I put them in the fridge to chill. When chilled, I cracked the 8.4 ounce can and began to take a sip. I quickly became confused because I thought my sister did a quick change and replaced my Mad Croc with Red Bull.
Unfortunately, it was still mad croc that i was drinking and yes, I believe they were trying to copy the flavor of the original Red Bull.
Some ingredients are different, but the basics seem to be the same. I guess the advantage of Mad Croc may be the cheaper price. Mad Croc’s website also has a section about Mad Croc Mixers which is similar to Red Bull as well.
Mad Croc Energy also makes energy gum and energy chews.
In conclusion, the only thing Mad Croc did for me was make me mad that it failed to deliver the bite it promised.
Went to Big Lots today to see if they had any new energy drinks in stock. After reading this review, I informed my friend not to buy it, but being $.50, he did anyways. I tried a sip, expecting another Red Bull imitator, but it was so much worse…. Quite an accomplishment by Mad Croc.
