Campaign to Save Energy Drinks
We’re certainly living in some interesting times as we’ve seen with the recent economic crisis and with the election of America’s first African American President.
People, unlike never before, have been participating in the democratic process that so shapes our country and our lives.
This post is dedicated to encouraging energy drink fans to exercise their democratic muscle in order to save our beloved drinks from getting high-jacked by the FDA. Recently 100 scientists and physicians sent letters to the FDA petitioning them to force energy drink manufacturers to put caffeine amounts and warning labels on the cans which isn’t too crazy, but they also want the FDA to limit how much caffeine a drink can have.
I thought that surely we could get more than 100 people to send in letters petitioning the FDA to leave energy drinks alone. Let’s not let a minority ruin things for the majority of people who drink energy drinks responsibly.
America is a country that is supposed to be by the people and for the people so if enough of you write in, we should be able influence the FDA to let us make our own choices about what to drink. Here is the address you can write to and be nice.

There should be an option for “I agree that caffeine content should be left alone, but manufacturers should put caffeine amount on the label.”
Who can argue that more information is a bad thing???
I’m with you on this one!
Just drop a no-doz in your favorite energy drink if the FDA plans on reducing the caffeine level in it. Problem solved.
hahaha,, I vote for, I’m to lazy to write a letter, but I do think they should leave them alone, if people want to be stupid who are we or anyone else to stop them?
Man, figures this was going to happen eventually. And it also figures that were all to lazy to do something to stop it ourselves. Well, I plan to send a letter. Maybe at the least we can have a petition for people to sign. Put it here on the website and you put in your e-mail. I have seen them before.
No way! Energy drinks are about fifth in line for termination behind:
Cigarettes
Alcohol
Pain Killers
and Free Sex
EnergyDrinkoftheMonth will have to start shipping in anonymous cartons soon!
Go to http://www.drinkactweb.com/amybaldridge and order a box of these drinks. FDA wouldn’t touch them cause they’re healthy and work like a champ… PLUS they’re only a buck apiece! Company lets you sign up as a dealer for free and get wholesale prices right away. Grab a piece of this industry!
Great… just make one more thing illegal and create one more black market. If this happens, soon enough youll be able to find ‘illegal’ energy drinks with far more caffeine in them than anything you see now
Or you might see people turning to hard-drugs to get their morning pick-me-up….Starbucks would need to limit its caffeine content also damnit, fairness and all that…
All this FDA regulation would do is create needless obstacles for smaller companies and stifle innovation, considering the costs (time, money, etc.) to be reviewed/verified by the FDA.
Then we’d either have to buy energy drinks owned by big corporations or resort to other substances, as was mentioned in a few previous comments.
And no matter how strict the FDA gets, the world is still going to be a dangerous place for people with no common sense.

there’s no option for “i’m too lazy to join the resistance” but if someone wants to put my name on a petition i won’t argue. haha
