Energy Drink Carbs

As most energy drink fans know, sugar is often one of the most abundant ingredients in many popular energy drinks, unless of course, you opt for the sugar free version.

Do all those carbs really have any value to us or are they there just to make the drink taste good?

Matt Higgins who has a degree in Sports Science (Physiology) from Liverpool John Moore’s University has written us a great article that explains some research done on Carbohydrate Supplementation Using Energy Drinks.

If you are into some type of sport and you love energy drinks then this would definitely be worth a read. You might not feel so guilty about choosing, in most cases, the better tasting sugar filled version.

However, this doesn’t count if you just plan to sit on the couch and guzzle a big 24 ouncer down though, sorry.
