Don’t Rush Out to Buy Endorush!

endorushOne of our readers wanted us to review Endorush.

We are always open to new drinks to review so I contacted the company to have a sample sent to one of our reviewers.

Usually companies jump at the chance to have their products reviewed by energyfiend.com and even often at times send our reviewers a whole box of product. Why do they do this? Well free advertising of course………

I got a call from Endorush saying they wouldn’t send us a sample but we could go to the store and buy it for $3.99. They explained that they put multi-millions of dollars in advertising but couldn’t be bothered to spend $7.00 to ship out a bottle to one of our reviewers.

Congratulations BSN, because you have earned energy fiend’s all time JEER! award for being the most greedy and all around sucky company to date!

So loyal readers spend your energy dollar somewhere else as I’m sure it’s not worth the 4 bucks anyway!

I’ve tried it, and it’s nothing special really. The taste is alright, average fruit-punch flavor, and the energy is medium-high. Crazy they turned down the opportunity!

Nixk February 12th, 2009 5:20 pm

My friend bought one once and it tasted like a bad version of SoBe Life Water or something, idk, it was a lil while ago. But Seriously $4? Go get 2 Monsters or something…

This person needs to be reported to the boss!

Kind of petty and childish don’t you think. They don’t owe you a free drink or anything. Surely you can afford an energy drink every now and then so you can review it for your readers.

KarlieMildraed February 12th, 2009 9:24 pm

I tried this in early 2008 before the caff ban. It tasted like a weak original Redline. It’s awful and good they didn’t give you a free drink. It’s like fate said it’s not that good.

Gilly February 12th, 2009 9:25 pm

I dunno, Bob. I think that’s pretty bad public relations right there. True, they don’t owe anyone any free product, but you have to realize that it benefits them far more than any reviewer or even customer…

bob February 13th, 2009 12:32 am

I am sure that not every company they contact sends them free drinks. I agree it is like free advertising but if they don’t want to I don’t think energyfiend should pitch a little fit and lash out at them. It is very childish and just an example of how the site is just not what it used to be. Look at review from a few years ago and you will see tons of comments for most reviews. Now it seems maybe they are lucky to have 2 or 3 comments on a review. Endorush might be bad and they might be greedy but energyfiend bitching because they might have to pay for a drink they review is just as greedy. Last time I checked there are ads on this very page that pay energyfiend money. I visit many energy drink sites and I never see them behaving this way. I have tried endorush and it is not worth the money but I think energyfiend should unass the money and let readers know if it is a good or bad product

“I am sure that not every company they contact sends them free drinks. I agree it is like free advertising but if they don’t want to I don’t think energyfiend should pitch a little fit and lash out at them.”

Bob, you have it wrong. EnergyFiend is right to slam BSN. What type of company turns down the chance for a free review? Give me a break.

Kev647 February 13th, 2009 9:55 am

horsepants: what kind of mentality is that? There is no universal rule out there. If BSN wants to regulate their image, let them. Are you the CEO of the company? Are you on the board of directors? Do you own shares? If you are any one of those three, then you can have a say in the matter. Otherwise, shut the hell up.

“Give me a break.” I think everyone else should be saying this, not you.

If you happen to work for this company or are a shareholder, quite or sell your shares if you are not happy with how the company is managing their image.

As for EnergyFiend, I feel it shows poor taste in judging and recommending people not to try the company’s product based on them not wanting to ship a sample. Major fallacy! The quality of the product is not directly tied to the management’s decision not to send a sample.

Chan Chan February 13th, 2009 11:22 am

They put millions into marketing that product? Whoever is responsible for that needs to be fired because this is the first time I’ve ever heard of them…which is outright weird since I love my caffeine and actively stalk new products.

Oh well, the jerkoffs can suck it–I know I won’t be trying their Redline ripoff now.

Gilly February 13th, 2009 12:07 pm

hahaha wow…….. too much tension here. my thoughts, for what they’re not worth:

1) I think the company is stupid for not wanting to advertise their product by means of review. 2) It’s my OPINION that they’re stupid. 3) True, they don’t owe anyone free product. But 4) By the key words “put multi-millions into…” and “go to the store and buy it for $3.99…” sounds like a pretty arrogant/fallacious attitude. I’m not saying it was, but I’m saying there’s the possibility we just don’t know the context of the conversation. 5) It’s EnergyFiend’s equal freedom to choose not to review Endorush. And 6) as for recommending readers to stay away from Endorush because they wouldn’t send a free drink or two, I go back to the importance of context.

Those are my two cents. ALE (and laughter ensued).

Steve February 14th, 2009 3:06 pm

Whoever Energyfiend spoke to obviously didn’t have a great deal of common sense. I mean, it’s free advertising, and if nothing else, blowing off a reviewer is a sure way to have many people unfavorably inclined towards your product. It’s also quite petty to make the reviewer find and purchase the drink after “They explained that they put multi-millions of dollars in advertising but couldn’t be bothered to spend $7.00 to ship out a bottle to one of our reviewers.” Spending millions and then not even willing to chip in less than 10? I am so not trying this drink.

Energy Drink Guru February 15th, 2009 1:10 pm

Wow.. that’s pretty bogus. Like Steve mentioned, if they spent millions on advertising but can’t spare >$10 that is a poor choice on the PR dept.

Evan February 15th, 2009 4:22 pm

i havn’t ever heard of this drink either, and for $4 a can, they’re gonna need all the good publicity they can get.

naspinski February 15th, 2009 8:14 pm

I have tried it and it is nothing special. They say each can is 2 servings and it is nothing compared to a Spike Shotgun (which is much cheaper). BSN makes some good supplements like NO Xplode and Preotein, but this stuff is surely not worth the $4. Too bad they were so lame about it.

Tony February 18th, 2009 11:04 pm

Well, I stumbled onto this website and started reading, and my 2 cents are this…if youre talking about 4 bucks..who gives a crap? but think of it in a different context. what about consumer reports? do you think they can afford to buy 50 of each car every year, so they can do the safety crash tests? Or 1 of everything they test every year? Or car stereo review? you think they buy 50 thousand dollars worth of amps and speakers and decks every month? What about action pursuit games? to buy all the paintball gear and test it every month would be up near 50 grand or more. now put those into context. 50 grand isnt really that much, when compared to car and driver. who would be buying 10 cars or so, plus all the aftermarkets that they look at. now youre talking hundreds of thousands. and what about the rare cars? the ones that are made in a lot of 100? you think the magazine is gonna drop 300k on a car to test it?
Its just bad pr. Its kinda the companies job to seek these advertisers out. I give em cheers for downin the company. Besides…4 dollars for an energy drink? most people drink 2 a day. thats 60 dollars a week. Id rather do crack!

Gilly February 19th, 2009 10:19 am

ROFLM(Arse)O! Tony, I agree- I’d rather do crack too.
And on that note…there’s always Cocaine: The Legal Alternative
haha

JAY February 20th, 2009 10:12 pm

The drink is no good any how. Decent tasting, I guess, but not energizing at all.

Barb March 18th, 2009 12:46 pm

What a bunch of idiots! I tried it and I like my 5-Hour Energy Shot a lot better anyways…

Tee June 17th, 2009 12:52 pm

I work out regularly and decided to try Endorush 2 days ago before going to the gym. I first popped 1 Lipo6 accelaerated fatburner & am lucky to be here because I thought this drink was a typical energy drink and drank the entire bottle without reading the lable! Combined with a Lipo6 pill and I was equipped with more energy than I had time to burn. I rode the heck out of the elipitcal machine and then proceeded to push every weight I attempted through the roof! The following day I popped the Lipo6 early and ate a steak sandwich along with another Endorush…What a joke! It was no comparrison to the first time. In fact, I felt nothing. Not even a slight sign of enhanced endurance, energy, mental focus or perfomance it boasts on he bottle. I dont think its worth the 4 bucks a bottle especially if you still have to team it up with another caffienated pill or drink of some type to activate its ingredients. I wont be buying anymore. I ran out of Creatine and thought this might be a good substitute, but i was wrong I will get my Creatine and stick to what has been working just fine. Lipo6, a protein diet w/vegetables and fruit along with my favorite juice and a teaspoon of creatine is all this chick needs to maintain an above average workout and body.
