It’s an enrgy cola more or less, and it’s no less of an energy drink than Vault, but it’s not exactly cocaine, its coca(sp.) leaf

Tramp: I guess you’re right. That does make sense. But still, it’d be the last place I’d look for a “coke.” Overpriced and not to my taste. Of course, I know I don’t represent the majority on that one though…

Gilly: it’s a soda, not an energy drink. It’s not a cola version of Red Bull Energy drink, it’s a cola that happens to be made by the same company. Tons of beverage companies spread from one type of beverage to another (Pepsi does many kinds of soda, water, energy drinks..) Red Bull seems to be doing the same.

As far as the drink itself goes, I would choose it over any other cola product if not for its price tag.

I don’t really care how much caffeine Red Bull Cola has, as I hate the flavor of Red Bull (and its Cola counterpart), but 45mg/12oz would be 37.5% the caffeine that normal red bull has. Seems strange they would decrease it so much.

Tim: Red Bull Cola has 45mg of caffeine per 12oz can. Diet Coke has 47mg per 12oz can.. Just as a comparison.

Bob: these blog sites are not helping to blow it out of proportion, they’re allowing the people who might make a stand against it to know what’s happening. True the information is out there for everyone, but EF at least has a very reasonable argument against it right in the article. Also, if it’s hit TIME already, these sites aren’t even close to making a difference for the general public.

Sorry Tim but Red Bull cola is not an energy drink. It has less caffeine than a mountain dew. It will be blow this out of proportion for sure though. Of 6 energy drink sites I have feeds from at least 4 are helping to spread this news right now(including this one). Why complain about it being blown out of proportion while adding to this process?

PTA moms are going to have a field day with this. Damn suburban politicians need to get a life and stop picking fights just to show they can…and Tramp, it’s Red Bull…i’m sure they put enough caffeine in it for it to be considered an energy drink. They wouldn’t debase themselves to mere soda-peddlers.
