$50,000 for a Michael Jackson Energy Drink?
I know we are being bombarded by “breaking Michael Jackson news”, but I thought this was interesting.
There is an unopened can of a European made, Michael Jackson Energy drink, for sale on Ebay for $50,000. At least that’s the starting bid anyway.
I guess our 3 dollar can of Monster doesn’t seem so bad now, in comparison. This drink was never sold in the USA, but was part of his late 90’s tour of Europe and Michael himself helped with the drink’s formulation.
Props to the seller for having the forsight not to open and drink this rare find because opened cans are going for around 10 dollars on Ebay.
What do you think? Is it worth $50,000 and will this seller strike it rich?

Yeah, I can’t see this going for more than like $300, 50 grand is ridiculous
I had a friend who crumpled up a plastic water bottle, and sold it on eBay as “modern art.” I’m not sure if this shows that artists are stupid, eBay fanatics are stupid, or simply whoever bought it is stupid…but he made like fifty bucks.
If they started selling those cans all over the joint, they’d make a hell of alot more. xx
The seller will probably get it. While I don’t understand it at all, there are a lot of crazed Jackson fans out there. And one of them is bound to have more money than they know what to do with. (as a note: MJ will always be Jordan, not Jackson, it’s catching on far too much)
Unless the can was signed by MJ himself I don’t think it’s worth more than a few hundred, for the sole reason that it’s a rare drink that you can’t get anymore… sort of like how that jolt soda is sold on ebay for like $40-$50 a can
Remember boys and girls Michael Jackson helped formulate this product it probably has children strength roofies in it as well as some type of pain reliever.
There is an unopened one on eBay right now for $.99
you’ll be surprised what people will pay for same stuff

Someone should make a Michael Jackson energy drink called Jesus Juice. Now that would be a collector’s item lol
I have 2 cans. 1 open. 1 sealed. I bought it in holland and because of the ‘no preservatives’, it expired in 1996.

No offense to MJ, but I don’t think it’s worth THAT much. Why is it worth more than the 5 Euros I’m sure it was sold for now that he’s dead? Unless of course they’re going to stop making it. But still, most of the prices of so-called “collectors items” on eBay and stuff are ridiculous as a rule. So this one is nothing new…I’d pay 20 bucks, nothing more.
