Demon Energy Drink: Now Making Energy Bombs?

Demon-energy-makes-bombsWell, not exactly…

However, three New Zealand soldiers are being sent home from Afghanistan because of a photograph stunt.

Earlier this month photos began circulating showing three guys next to a bomb with a Demon Energy Sticker on it with the words “Dear Taliban, enjoy this” written on it as reported by The NZ Herald.

Demon Energy denied having anything to do with the photo besides stating that they occasionally run contests encouraging people to send in funny photos displaying the Demon logo. The NZ military deemed this entirely inappropriate and decided to send the soldiers home. The military is investigating whether or not the three violated military law.

Demon energy will certainly benefit from the publicity that this issue is causing, but have they gone too far by circulating the photos that were sent to them by the soldiers? Some would say that this was all in good fun and the soldiers shouldn’t have been punished at all. Others might argue that Demon Energy drink shouldn’t run such contests because it encourages people to do extreme or dangerous things in order to win.

If no one gets hurt or endanger themselves, I don’t see the harm in it. This is the coolest bomb I’ve seen though. There have been dozens of messages on bombs before.

I can’t believe this is even in question. The NZ government needs to get the giant stick out of their bums and deal with more important things than soliers trying to have fun with their jobs

So let me get this straight.. the put this sticker on a missle, got in trouble, and as punishment they sent them HOME from afghanistan. Doesn’t sound like much of a punishment

Riley, we have a damn fine military. So fine in fact that the U.S was begging for more of our Special Air Services boys to be sent over.

I’m with Bryanm If only the U.S. Army would send people home for stuff like that, of course then they’d have no one deployed.

Don’t you love political correctness, blowing people up = GOOD
Writing stuff or putting stickers on bombs = BAD
I am fairly sure if you look at old war footage people have been doing this sort of stuff for a while.

Way to go with the PC bullshit. Look soldiers live balanced on the knifes edge day in and day out… Why does anyone really bother to give a shit what they write on a bomb? Maybe we should just send in the peace corps and it’ll all be better. Oh wait, the Taliban has AK 47’s, RPG-7’s, Katusha rockets, mortars, and camouflage to look like everyone else. Anyone else but the worlds finest fighters would have pulled out by now. Keep doing a great job my brothers in arms.

I think the funny thing about this picture is that they are co-operating with allied forces as NZ has no strike aircraft, maby NZ soldiers should be pricks and stay in their little bubble and not make friends with anyone else overseas so in turn would make their job more diffuicult and life more stressfull. Maby the real issue that should be addresed is the New Zealand Defence Forces assosiation with the Blackwater Corporation after an incident in 2007 where Blackwater security guards killed 17 Iraqi civilians, yet NZDF is still using their services. For F’s sake, these guys get seconds to make a decision and some prick in parliment gets months to rip it apart…….WHAT A JOKE!!
