Wow what a cop out. They really think Monster Import was the best energy drink? It’s not really that much different than original Monster. Sure the can was neat for like 5 seconds then it was a pain in the a$$. The Red Bull shot was a big deal and a good shot but the Best I don’t think so. Fixx Extreme Ultra Shot, Redline Rush, and Ubershot all would have been better choices. As for drinks there were many like the new Venom flavors, Ironclad, Give Mojito, Redline xtreme watermelon.

Where to get Codeblue? Is it good for studying? Is that what they mean by “best functional beverage”?

I’d agree with Monster Import getting the Best Package Innovation, but not best energy drink. I’d agree with edjunkie, I personally think that Venom Fruit Punch should have won, off the top of my head that is. Or did Rock Star Guava or Citrus Punched launch this year? Then one of them should win.

Monster definitely should have won best marketing campaign. They are everywhere in extreme sports. Also, the Red Bull shot is just a slightly condensed version of the 8oz cans (for an extra $1 too), hardly gives an energy boost just like can.

Hey Bob, you can get code blue from beverage direct or type in your zip code at the code blue website to see if it’s near you…No caffeine in it though so, not sure how good it will be…

Thanks Ted. Does anyone know what the caffeine content in Symo Agave drink is, I can’t find it online

Bob December 17th, 2009 11:58 am

I was looking on your website about Syzmo drink and you say:
“Uniquely Syzmo contains no taurine – leading to manufacturer claims that this beverage is a “healthy alternative function beverage”.”

Why are they implying that taurine is unhealthy? Is it? what is wrong with taurine?

ted December 17th, 2009 12:05 pm

It’s a marketing ploy as most people don’t realize that taurine is naturally made by our bodies. People assume that since it’s a strange word, it must be unhealthy…. There’s lots of info about it here just type taurine into our search box and read away…..

thanks for the info Ted. What is your favorite energy drink for pulling all-nighters and studying?

I like the Rockstar line the best, especially Rockstar Punched!
