With the massive growth of energy drinks – it seems that every entrepreneur with access to caffeine is mixing up a new brew. Here is a collection of energy drinks so obscure that they didn’t even make into the caffeine database.
Bull Fighter
By the time you’ve read this sentence, Red Bull will have slapped these guys with a lawsuit.
Latin Lover
This energy drink is made in Italy, and is exported as far as Turkey and Romania.
Apparently – what distinguishes a Latin Lover from other mere mortals is this: “an elaborated strategy of glances and an immediacy of suggestion which crowds out the competition”. Actually, this Latin Lover is pretty much just water, sugar, taurine, and caffeine.
911 Energy Drink
911 is made in South Africa by a company that specializes in making beverages and building glass. Yes. Building glass. Because every building glass company should have its own energy drink. With 911 “You get enhanced energy levels added concentration and even regenerates mussels and nervous system”.
Virus of Beauty
Yes. That’s what it says on the can. Virus of Beauty. And you thought Howling Monkey was a weird name?
Virus is made in Belgium and is a juice based energy drink – sweetened with aspartame.
Great
I guess all the good names were taken by the time these guys came to market. The great thing about Great is that it “Makes you a GREAT day.” (source). Not too sure about one of the ingredients: Sulphite ammonia caramel

According to Wikipedia, “Sulphite Ammonia Caramel” is just a fancy way of saying “Caramel Coloring”. In fact, the article says that this is the form of Caramel Coloring used in most soft drinks. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulphite_ammonia_caramel
But my favorite has to be the South African “911″. For one thing, is 911 NOT the number for emergencies in South Africa — Wikipedia says it’s “112″. But I’d buy it for the free seafood. After all, it “regenerates mussels”! No more trips to the buffet for more oysters — just pour energy drink into freshly emptied shell. Awesome.
