Blow Energy Drink Mix

blow.jpgBlow Energy is a powdered energy drink mix aimed at ultra-hip party-goers. It comes in a vial of white powder – so you too can pretend you are popping some hard stuff into your drink.

From the maker:

“Blow is seductively cool, powerfully effective and our marketing is admittedly edgy.”

“Edgy” means marketing the vial of caffeine as a party drug, along with media promotions showing images of slutty women and pervy men. Not really edgy; the illicit drug thing has been done before – and as for the scantily clad ladies – well that’s as old as advertising itself.

Blow packs a punch: 240mg caffeine and 2000mg of Taurine.

The associations between good ole humble caffeine and hard drugs are a little disturbing. Someone somewhere is seriously going to start getting the wrong idea and wreck it for all the rest of us.

Mike Stone, that is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. You are right up there with the people saying video games cause violence. Are people going to stop drinking energy drinks because it’s bad for them? No. They’ll keep eating McDonalds, they’ll keep drinking shit that’s bad for them, and that’s the end of it. You can’t ban everything because it’s dangerous or unhealthy. There comes a time when personal responsibility needs to come into play. Censoring everything and banning it just babies everybody and makes spineless cowards feel safe. If you know it’s bad for you, don’t put it in your damn mouth, and life will go on.

Please, PLEASE Mike, if a child gets ahold of it, it is nowhere NEAR the producers fault. Unless the producers happen to be this childs parents. Again, personal responsibility. If you don’t want your child getting to something dangerous, don’t have it in the home. You’re the guy who sues Burger King because buying him a kids meal everyday made him fat. Seriously, think about it.

We are human beings with abstract thought, responsibility, and choices to make. If we do it wrong, that’s our problem and we have to suffer the consequences. We can read labels, we’ve been warned, the internet is a plethora of information if we REALLY feel the need to research it. That is all anybody owes us. You need to learn to take care of yourself and stop expecting companies to keep you safe for you.

This is juicy blog you have going here lol.
Tell you what, if you want to do blow- do the real thing and stop acting like b*tch. Thats just like smoking K-2 when you know you want weed. This is not attractive, you can get arrested for carrying fake drugs just like you can real ones. I’ve done real blow back in the day (not to say Im proud of it) and there is no subsitute. But these companies trying to mimic a real drug send the wrong message to our youth. But hey try everything once right, you only get to live once so holla if you have some lol. jk
