I get really bad anxiety,cold sweats,bad headaches,extreme jitters,extremly warm,nausea,swollen glands,and heart racing as well as an irritable mood. I’ve had this all my life and its awful because i love coffee, green tea, and chocolate. Thank god i dont like monster because i had one sip once and had a full blown caffeine reaction. I left a store once and came back in because i had these symtems and the girl asked what was wrong and i told her and she said she had a siezure after drinking caffenine so thats it for me!

I knew I was allergic to SOMETHING. Took me 3 months to learn it was Caffeine. I get itchy, a stomach ache, nausea, diarrhea, chest pain, I get mad really easy, and I can’t focus or concentrate but that may because I probably have ADHD. [I will never know because the test costs way too much money...] Anyway, thanks for the list. I would have never known.

I got some kind of rash with little spots wich is itching around my chest and some time i feel kind of itching in my hands its comming and going im a man.please help

I have one thing to say. Yes caffeine is a drug an addictive one at that. But many of you are simply hypochondriacs. The rest probably have genuine medical concern. Except for @Robert Gibbs you’re just plain idiotic… you say 5 cups of tea AND up to 20 let me stress that again 20! Cups of coffee… lets do some math 80mg avg per cup 80*20=1600mg plus your tea. You’d need to be more specific to find the total. >1600 mg of caffeine in one day? Yeah I’d hope you’d have health issues. I consider myself a pretty hardcore caffeine addict and 16 cups in one day makes me jittery and unable to sleep. And the rest complaining about being addicted… just stop. Make the conscious decision and never look back. End of story there is no easy way to quit an addiction.

After drinking coffee for over 20 years I had a full bout of hives today after a cup of nescafe gold blend dark at a friends house. I also got a raging headache and felt really lethargic very quickly. I took an antihistamine within 10 mins of the hives appearing which was just in time as my throat started to swell but went back down quite quickly. Over the last 5 years I have become allergic to allsorts of things that I never had issues with when I was younger. Its been great to read other comments as I never expected an allergy to my beloved coffee!!!

Ok so reading this makes a ton of sence for me! I thought I was crazy for linking my strange symptoms to cafeine. I drink coffee every now and then. A little while later I feel like a knot is in my throat, foggy mind and have the feeling of being high. My body is weak and I’m irritable and moody. I also felt naseausus and nervous. I never knew how to tell anyone without feeling like no one would understand me. I fell better knowing I’m not the only one and can finally make a small change my life to fix it.

I must have missed number 3 …. panic/anxiety attacks,, okay,,, I will give this a try,, starting today it’s water, water, water.. I’ve been suffering from a harsh way from anxiety,stress, etc.. I absolutely love drinking my diet soda, if anyone has any ideas how to really kick the soda habit let me know,, there have been days I have no water, just diet soda..it’s one of the few things that always made me feel a littl more calm…which I know is all in my head..

I have panic/anxiety attacks,, I drink alot of diet soda,, I feel it calms me,, but I have alot of the symptoms shown above,,I think I will try to really limit my soda and see if I see a difference.. I have swollen lymphnodes in my neck, tightness in my chest, headaches which feels more like pressure in the back of my head near the neck, my fingers have excema and won’t heal (been going on since May) I would love some input…could it also be giving me panic attacks???????

Can probably say that at one time or another suffered a good deal of these symptoms. Just had a horrible 24 hour stomache bug and the last thing I consumed was my regular strong cup of coffee. For about a week I couldn’t stomach the idea of having a coffee but I also noticed I wasn’t as anxious and stressed as I usually feel. I mean a REAL noticeable difference folks. I’ve never looked back..just like that!
