hey just thought id tell uz all dis bt with all the energy drinks (V,rasta blaster, mother, monster energy,ECT) all give you pimples and zits it is a known fact that all these have caffeine in them well its actually a type of toxin and when drink these ur body wants them to get out!! so they escape from the poures in ur face so once these toxins mix with the oil in ur skin it will create pimples/zits so i advise if u drink these that dont have to many..and dont pick zits/pimples coz it leaves horrible scars!!!

Energy Drinks Dangers February 28th, 2010 7:49 pm

It’s ridiculous just how much caffeine is in some of these energy drinks. Quite dangerous if you consume a whole heap!

Well, I would say that most aussies and kiwis consume way more caffeine than that in the form of coffee found in the 1000’s of cafes lining the streets…just food for thought..

ted – the main cause of concern is the amount of caffiene in ONE bottle – not the total intake over time. eg red bull has 80mg of caffiene which is similar to a coffee, however Demon energy shot is 200mg of caffeine and it is only like 60ml of liquid – much more concentrated and simply put – much easier to drink faster. Combine that higehr caffiene content with the fact that i have seen people neck these in a few seconds…. and do two or three in an evening… you might as well go and get 200mg of caffiene pumped into your blood using an IV. It is literally the same thing, particualrly if you havent eaten (anyone seen people substitute energy drinks for breakfast ?! I sure have.). So a Demon energy shot would be like drinking 4 strong expressos in a few seconds….that is the worry with the ever inceasing caffiene levels. Plus caffiene is toxic (actually a poison) at high levels… 10 or so coffees can cause problems – this is hard to do though, purely because of the volume of liquid… but this is the same as 2 or 3 demon energy shots, which is pretty easy to drink – its only 180mL afterall.

Sources: my physiology lecturer, reading articles on caffiene, and currently writing a review article on energy drinks effects on the cardiovascular system. Its scared me off drinking V (which is *only* 109mg in a can…)

hey everyonee..im doin an assement for “V” energy drink and i wondered if anyone drinks large amount of V daily or used to, if they could answer a couple of questions for mee that would be greatt :)
thank youu

Why do you choose V out of all of the other energy drinks?

Do you drink any other energy drinks? (& why )

Do you know why some people don’t like to drink energy drinks?

How does “V” fit into your daily life?

What do you benefit from drinking “V”?

Any comments on the pricing of V in AUS ?

ted March 14th, 2010 12:48 pm

200mg would be more like 2.5 shots of espresso 1 shot equals 75-80mg. Again most people in Australia and NZ have at least two shots a day in their flatwhite or latte’.
