Cojones (ko-hon-az) Energy Shot is an energy shot that is playing on the spanish word, cojones, which means balls or more specifically, testicles.
With slogans such as "get a pair today" and "balls to the wall" printed on the bottles, drinking one might not produce a desirable mental picture.
Cojones Energy comes in two versions; a mixed berry flavored regular shot and a cinnamon apple flavored "grandes" xtra strength shot.
I was sent some samples to try out.
Cojones Energy Review
Taste
Mixed Berry- This version had a light berry flavor and was just slightly tart. It wasn't syrupy like many shots are and it had just a slight artificial sweetener aftertaste.
Cinnamon Apple - This is a unique tasting energy shot. Kind of like cinnamon hearts disolved into water. Not bad.
Effect /Verdict
Both the standard version and the xrta strength version have the same amount of caffeine. The extra strength version has slightly more of the "other" energy ingredients.
I didn't really feel much difference among the two. They both seemed to provide about four hours of energy with little to no crash.
I think in the end it's a matter of which flavor is preferred.
Overall, Cojones energy shots deliver and the bottles are a clever way to make the male anatomy drinkable.
