I am SO GLAD that this site exists! I remember reading about this drink when this review first came out. I tried them when I was really bad at keeping track of what drinks I've had. Turns out they no longer make some of the flavors I tried, and I would have had a hard time with my list without the site!

Am I the ONLY one who hates this stuff? The original was DSECENT, but really the sugarfree took me SO long to drink because how bitter and ashy-like it tastes. I like the can design, but the taste is pretty bad to me.

The Gang of GURU hahaaaa thats hilarious! :-D
Thats why I love GURU, there's a flavor for each of my moods:
GURU Original when I need the bubbly boost it offers
GURU Lite when I feel fat
GURU Superfruit When I need health-boost (i think its a total hangover cure!)
GURU Lemonade when in mood for something very sour
GURU Green Tea/GURU Tangerine when in mood for a change.
I gave up on looking for them at the stores so I just order it online with free shipping and I think the final price per can ends up being cheaper anyway!

I love GURU too. I have to agree, the best flavours are Original and Superfruit Juicy. Original DOESN'T taste like that RedBull bollocks and has a completely unique refreshing yummy flavor if you ask me. I took advantage when they were on sale at Whole Foods a couple months ago then when they weren't anymore (regularly around $2.70/12oz), I noticed you can order Guru by the case on guruenergy.com with NO SHIPPING charge. Cases of 24 are of course the best value around $45 which comes out around $1.90/12oz can. You can order variety cases too if you want to try all the flavors. Each 12oz can has around 140mg of caffeine. They were doing 16oz cans but those seem to have been phased out; GURU original and lite are still available in 8oz cans which I wouldn't even bother with.

OK, I'm way behind here, BUT

Check into the difference in caffeine content between the different can sizes. The larger ones (IIRC) have more mg/oz.

I also have some hypotheses on guarana-based ("natural") caffeine vs. "normal" caffine. I suspect that the body tolerates the analogs differently.

I love GURU, it's one of my favorites. My only complaint is that some of the flavors are downright crap.

Why not review all the organic energy drinks? bHip energy is REALLY good in terms of kick as well. It has like almost 30 natural energy ingredients in it.
