I had a allergic reaction to the power drink, My neck, nose, eyes, arms and lips got red, itchy, hot and swollen..2 Benadryl took care of it, after about 20 minutes.

What is the active chemical in Mountain Desert Tea? Like Caffeine is the active chemical in Coffee and in standard Tea. So for mountain desert tea to have a stimulant effect it Must have an active Chemical.

Unfortunately the word ephedra has gotten a bad wrap in the last couple of years. The Market needs a little education;

The FDA has prohibited the sale of dietary supplement containing ephedrine alkaloids ( also known as ma-huang, Chinese ephedra). Some species in the Ephedra genus have no alkaloids content and thus are not dangerous nor banned.

Mountain Desert Tea grows in the U.S. It does not contain ephedra alkaloids…..But it kicks ass.

Well I always like to hear a new ephedrine product is on the market…. However if “Mountain Desert Tea” contains ephedrine it is Illegal, and considered “adulterated”

Dusty, I’m glad you’re ok.
That being said, I’m also glad this happened to you, a person in the energy product arena. When isolated incidents like this happen to stupid kids and unsuspecting consumers, it’s fuel for the propaganda-fire against energy products. But all that loses its might when the bad reactions are happening to the people that are for it!
