I’ve reviewed the contents of almost every “inorganic” and organic energy drink I run across and the contents are the same except for “proprietary” junk that has no established dietary basis. The active ingredient is caffeine – always caffeine whether it comes from coffee beans, guarana, yerba mate, or the other dozens of plants. They disguise the sugars and artificial flavors and colors, add “organic” fruit juice or useless vitamins, and charge $2.99 for it. Cheaper to brew a cup of coffee, and probably safer.

i use to love drinking Full Throttle’s “natures a bad mother”, but i haven’t seen it anywhere in a long time. is it still being sold?

I totally agree. For progress of any kind to occur, products need to evolve. Evolution keeps the parts that make anything good and weeds out the bad parts. We, as consumers, have lost many ‘good’ products just for the reason it wasn’t ‘good enough’. When something is bad, poorly made, or just isn’t right, it will go away or re-tuned to be better. There are many organic products that taste great but many that just need a ‘tweek’ to push them from bad to phenominal. We ,as conusmers, just need to speak up and say ‘wow that sucks’ once in a while.

I usually enjoy the few organic energy drinks I try. They’re a nice change from the super sweet, artificial taste of most energy drinks. GURU is one of my top 5 favorite drinks just because there is so much depth to the flavor and such a smooth buzz.
