Thanks for the Deton8 info. Well be heading to Kroger after my last box of Power Edge runs out.

Didn’t sell at Wally-World? Every time I went for more it was the one item with the least amount on the shelf.

I loved power edge but walmart locally discontinued carrying them, can’t find them anywhere else. I used them before working out, price was great. BRING THEM BACK!

I love these energy drinks. I only use 1/4 to 1/2 of a packet w/ 54oz of water. I gave them to my coworkers and they love them as well. I try to limit them to 1 time per day. We can not find them at Walmart anymore and are very sad because the cost is Wonderful. I do like the taste of the orange packet and it doesn’t cause jitters. I do not like other energy drinks because I feel hyper, jittery, etc….

I found this at a Walmart in Tennessee & LOVE IT. I really like the orange one better than the berry. It helps me to stay focused throughout the day & I don’t feel like I get the high/crash like I do with some other energy drinks.

Unfortunately though I have been unable to find it the past several times I have looked. I did just buy the Crystal Light Strawberry engery packets to try so we’ll see how that compares.

    Wal-mart doesn’t carry it anymore :o (

Since Walmart discontinued Power Edge (at $1.97 per 10-pack), I started trying Crystal Light Energy (at $2.28 per 10-pack). After a few weeks, I can now recommend Crystal Light Energy as a good replacement for Power Edge. I just wish that they offered more flavors than the strawberry.

I love this product it’s the only thing that works as an energy drink for me. It keeps me up when I’m so tired I could drop. It gives a weird physical feeling and it tastes bad, but it works.

Deton 8 from Kroger is the SAME as Power Edge from Walmart but just different packaging and name. Cost $2.99 box.

Not sure if there is a Kroger near by but would like to try Deton 8. Heard on the news today that Walmart is going to bring back a lot of products that they recently discontinued. Apparently because their streamlining approach was not paying off. So, its possible there may be hope for us Power Edge drinkers that dont want to pay extra by ordering on-line.

I have been drinking power edge for a couple of years. The berry is my favorite. I have an old 20 ounce propel sports bottle that I mix one pack with. The taste is very acceptable, I think it is good at this dilution factor and use a bottle while doing my 2 hour work out. It seems to boost my energy level and the drink quenches my thirst. Wal-mart has quit selling it and as I am very disappointed, I may have to order some by mail.

I love power Edge. My Walmart (and i only go to Walmart for this, nothing else) stopped carring it and I can not find anywhere else. I will be ordering from Discountcoffee.com today. I would recomend this to anybody that listens. Taste great and cheap to boot. Just as good as any energy drink out there.

  • I love this stuff, all three walmarts around me have stopped selling it. I am going to order a whole case.

The Deton8 brand is NOT the same as PowerEdge. Whoever thinks they’re the same needs to scrub their tongue with a toothbrush.

I pulled a manager at the local Wal-Mart aside and asked him to check on the PowerEdge product, and he said that they were none in the store, and that they were unobtainable at the warehouse. Given what happened to Strum Foods, I suppose this makes sense. However, I also noticed that Wal-Mart took the opportunity to load up the shelf facings with their own ‘Great Value’ brand of powdered drink mixes — at least a dozen different types, but none with Taurine in it.

We have been using the Deton8 brand from Kroger instead — a bit more on the fruity tasting side, and slightly more expensive. The PowerEdge mixes were about $2 for a box of 10, while the Deton8 are regularly priced at about $3 for 10 — although they have been on ‘sale’ for $2.50 for the past couple weeks.

Loved them!!! Sad that I can’t find them.

This stuff should be illegal. It packs a whollup of a buzz. You get quickly addicted to it.

  • TJ

I got hooked on this stuff my senior of college and drink a pack almost daily. It’s cheap, has twice the caffeine of a Red Bull, and I think it taste great. My favorite is the lemon lime, but it’s hard to find. I’ve actually only seen that flavor in Air Force base Shoppettes, but the berry and tangerine flavors are always at Wal-Mart.

  • Frankie

Haha. Found this article when I was trying to figure out how much caffeine was in these. Can’t say I got addicted to it (though I was there for a while until I started drinking Monsters like maaad), however I think it tastes AWESOME. Like juice with a kick. Love the berry and strawberry tangerine flavors.

I found this site while searching for Power Edge energy mix. Like most others who posted here, I used to buy it Wal Mart but recently discovered they stopped selling it. I use them on days before I exercise and only have 3 boxes left. I’m planning to order a case from the discountcoffee site, as that will last me several months. I’ve used everything from Rockstar to Redbull and Monster, and Power Edge works as well or better than any of those, and tastes good (the orange is best) plus don’t cause jitters or heart palpitations like the others. Had I known Wal Mart was going to stop carrying these, I would have literally bought every pack that was at my local store. They were cheaper than discountcoffee.com (around $6 for 30 pcks. at wal mart vs. $13 at that website) but hey, it’s still cheaper than the other energy drinks. I also used to like the Steven Seagal Cherry Charger energy drink but of course that was discontinued too. Everything I like gets taken off market WTF??? LOL
