Sounds like something that could easily be marketable. No spitting necessary. Any chance you can do this with regular coffee or No-Dos?

That’s crazy, sorta like dipping tobacco except for the caffeine. During the time of the first Gulf War the next generation of MREs were coming out and the goody packet (sugar, Tobasco, creamer, coffee, gum, candy, toilet paper) was becoming all Sanka or Nescafe instant coffee. PITA since we were losing the old nasty instant coffee powder which tasted like crap as coffee, but was decent for caffeine boost mixed with the hot chocolate.Anyway, it also had the redeeming feature of being such a small amount of fine powder that you could stick it in your cheek for the same effect the doc in the article was talking about, a cup of coffee boost straight into the bloodstream.

Heh, being an older vet, this is almost old news. Ah well, could be worse. I'm suprised the military doesn't sneak it to us (wouldn't that be a fun suprise for those of us with caffiene allergies) like they sneak other crap like that nifty natural estrogen they throw in the eggs in basic training to keep the guys from getting wood....and they says it's from all the excercise, hahah. The army strikes again, another bout of pure genious. Well...I'm sure someone will have fun with the stuff... good for them.

Oh hell yeah, let’s give some tired, strung out deployees high doses of a stimulant so they’ll be twitchy and jumpy as hell, not to mention additional paranoia to augment already ridiculous levels of nervousness one experiences on a mission or in theatre generally…Tweaked troops plus weapons and caffiene gum equals bulletholes in random natives….equals court martials and more blogs by assholes back home saying f the troops and their ‘war crimes’.<br
