What is the Most Expensive Starbucks Drink?

Most Expensive: The Quadriginoctuple Frap

This guy blew all the others out of the water with The Quadriginoctuple Frap.  Ok, he cheated a little by bringing his own 52 ounce mug but impressive none-the-least.

His drink had 40 shots clocking in at 3000mg of caffeine!

Total coast: $47.30

Here’s his video….

2nd Most Expensive Starbucks Drink!

expensive-starbucks-drinkLogan with Geek on Call I.T. Services needed something to help him through his long hours of computer tinkering, so he came up with this drink utilizing Starbuck’s new Trenta sized cup.

He definitly took advantage of the “free birthday beverage” Starbucks offers! Here’s Logan’s concoction…..

Java Chip Frappuccino in a Trenta cup, 16 shots of espresso, a shot of soy milk, caramel flavoring, banana puree, strawberry puree, vanilla beans, Matcha powder, protein powder, and a drizzle of caramel and mocha.

Total Cost: $23.60 (with tax).

This puppy rocked an impressive 1400mg of caffeine and it looks like he lived to tell about it.

3rd Most Expensive

starbucksrecpt.jpgWhat would you do if you were given a voucher redeemable for any Starbucks drink?

This guy concocted the 3rd most most expensive Starbucks coffee.

Here it is:

13 shot venti soy hazelnut vanilla cinnamon white mocha with extra white mocha and caramel.

Total Cost: $13.76 (with tax).

What the blogger didn’t tote up was the amount of caffeine in this drink. A while back we compiled a very detailed list of Starbucks Caffeine – using recently published information from Starbucks and independent lab tests.

The figure for an espresso shot is 75mg, so 13x75mg = 975mg. A long way from a lethal dose – but enough to cause some serious reactions. That’s equivalent to downing 3 Spike Shooters – which was enough to send some students to the emergency room.

Anyone care to come up with an even more expensive Starbucks drink?

I buy coupons on ebay for everything and of late I’ve picked up some starbuck vouchers and I’ve CAUGHT HELL FROM the local stores. Why?? These vouchers are NO DIFFERENT than any other coupon from any grocer or department store–THE STORE RECEIVES FULL CREDIT when they turn them in–their NOT OUT ANY MONEY. Leave us COUPONERS ALONE!! HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM??

Putting aside the fact that the $23.60 drink doesn’t make sense (too much volume + you are only allowed to have iced coffee or tea in a trenta), the actual most expensive starbucks drink was documented about three months ago.

It cost $26.80 and actually was legit. See below.

How about just getting decaf espresso shots? or half of them decaf? That eliminates the whole lethal dose concern…lol

I find it impressive that Starbucks could be so successful when the average price per product is so low. I know it’s expensive for coffee, but think about how many transactions they need to keep profits up.

@Branden- I doubt that 8 shots in one day rule applies everywhere. Canada has some strange caffeine laws and I doubt anyone that works at Starbucks would be seriously keeping track of each customer’s shot allotment.

  • Branden

but you cant purchase more than 8 shots in one day
a veinte cup is 20 ounces, each shot is 1 ounce. 13 ounces of espresso, 15 pumps syrup + extra white mocha is prob 4 ounces, thats like 3 ounces milk, this drink is stupid and also adding same syrup doesnt cost money
which is why says add mocha and not white mocha
    sorry to be debbie downer

oh and they wrote the drink wrong 13 shot venti ,s, hz, v, cd, xwm, m(because it says it on the receipt, XCR, latte im guessing? lol its easier to write on the cup

  • Jessika

Thats ridiculous…i work at starbucks and some people get the most outrageous things. i havnt had a drink come out to be that much, but one time i had one that was like 8 or so..it was a frappucino(sp)im used to writing abreviations for everything…lol

  • sabi

i love starbucks i thought the most expensive was $15 but wow 13.76 is great since i always get a frappucino

  • Thomas

An iced venti espresso with no ice or water and shots to the top (19) would actually be slightly more.

  • Keriann

My bad for posting this reply on this blog. I meant to post it on the blog titled: Starbucks, Perfect Shot Gone Wrong, but my eyes are tired and I probably just need more coffee (ha ha).

  • Drea

ah, satan that would be the chantico. that was some strong chocolate! i wish we still had that….but 16 ounces of it? it was so sweet i could barely even finish a sample size of those that we offered for customers to try.

  • Satan

There used to be a very thick, sweet chocolate drink like hot chocolate that was like 2.50 for 4 ounces. I had them put 4 of those and a few add shots in a frappuccino cup and it was at least $15. And I think it almost killed me.

  • Ashley

13 shots…phhhh. I work at a starbucks and one of the girls I work with (she’s crazy) has been working there for about 6 years and has become so immune to caffiene that she’ll start her shift with “6 over an inch” (6 shots of espresso over an inch of liquid whip and over her 8 hour shifts which include 3 breaks, she’ll probably get 2 more of those and a coffee and on her way home she’ll grab a quad grande latte. It’s disgusting.

But most expensive drink? Get a venti frap, add a bunch of shots of espresso and syrups, and get it blended with half soy or something. I’m sure that would add up to quite a bit.

  • Preston

Actually, she rang you up wrong. There is no charge for extra of anything, and it should read “extra WHITE mocha”, not “add mocha”. There would be an ‘nc’ after it, indicating the lack of charge thereof. So not only did this Barista not know what she was doing, but your final price should be $13.46.

    p.s. Organic milk costs more.

  • kevin

too bad starbucks roasts the hell out of their espresso, drastically decreasing the amount of caffeine in said drink. basically starbucks=garbage
