X Games Energy Drink

So I came across this X Games energy drink the other day while traveling.

Energy drinks seem to get a extremely bad reputation for the amounts of caffeine and sugar they posses, so what better event to hook up with than the most extreme games in the world?

The X Games with their own energy drink? Only one question… what took so long?

Taste

The X Games are built on being bold, tough and outside the box, unfortunately their energy drink was exactly the opposite. I had my hopes up for a rough, exciting new flavor, yet all I got after tasting X Games was a Red Bull knockoff. How can the most creative and extreme games in the world put out just the same old energy drink?

Ingredients

The can that I picked up was from Canada, so the label is different then what I’m used to. The 355ml (12oz) can contained 150 calories along 36g of sugar. Also including Guarana seed extract, Siberian ginseng extract and Ginko biloba leaf extract. The caffeine content is nowhere to be found and this is probably due to Canada’s strange caffeine laws. Guarana wouldn’t necessarily be considered caffeine in Canada.

Effect

Just as the taste of X Game was like Red Bull, the effect wasn’t far from that of Red Bull’s as well, maybe lasting a bit longer, but that’s about it. Not exactly the rush of skateboarding a giant half pipe in front of thousands of screaming fans that I expected.

Verdict

After finding X Games Energy Drink and getting my hopes up, I must say that I was very disappointed by it. In no way did it live up to the X games reputation. The X Games were built on being extreme, creative, and dangerous, yet their energy drink apparently is built on bland, average, and boring.
