Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator
Remember Cocaine Energy Drink? It came, it upset some people, and then it got canned. It was then renamed “No Name”.
Cocaine was made by Jamey Kirby of Redux Beverages.
Now he’s back with a new drink called Brawndo. It’s out in December and is a “bright green, sports/energy hybrid beverage with 200mg of caffeine, electrolytes, inositol, guarana, and a smooth lemon-lime flavor”.
The drink comes in a 16oz can – so that’s still a fair hit of caffeine.
Caffeine and electrolytes is a curious mix – one is a diuretic and the other is meant to hydrate.
If you recognize the name – that’s because it comes from a movie called Idiocracy.

Actually, the drink has 100mg of caffeine, not 200mg. Brawndo is the worlds first carbonated Sports/Energy hybrid drink; we call it an Endurance Supplement.
It is the perfect supplement for pre and post sports activity; during sports, nothing beats Dihydgrogen Monoxide (DHMO).
Sorry, I am a dunce, it is 200mg per can. 100mg per 8OZ serving. I have been working too much and not getting enough sleep

I disagree with it being a *perfect* supplement before and after activities, especially before. Caffeine dehydrates. 200mg is enough to do just that. So then while you play your sport you’ll drink too much water (or so cleverly put, DHMO), move slower, probably get cramps, and perform worse.
Caffeine induced energy is also the wrong kind of energy you need for sports, it inhibits controlled motions and promotes poor performance.
Caffeine is delicious.
Oh that’s hilarious. I posted the video for this just today and had no idea it was real. I figured it was just the Fox-sponsored “sequel” to Powerthirst. Nice.

In the future our plants will be watered with brawndo and it will come out of drinking fountains, in fact it will replace water all together.

I am sitting here looking at the four cans that just came in and I’m already thinking about crushing skulls. I’m gonna get right on this one and let you know how it goes.
Just recieved some samples from Brawndo on Friday and had one… It tastes good and felt good. We’re working with them to possibly join our website.

A drink that’s actually based on purpose rather than label shock. I wonder if Redux is capable of such a thing.
