I love your site … the 0 in sugar column for diet sodas might mislead some people … aspartame is equally vile if not worse … taken from mercola.com:
Aspartame: This chemical is used as a sugar substitute in diet soda. There are over 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption including brain tumors, birth defects, diabetes, emotional disorders and epilipsy/seizures. Further, when aspartame is stored for long periods of time or kept in warm areas it changes to methanol, an alcohol that converts to formaldehyde and formic acid, which are known carcinogens.
Shut up the aspartamine hippie. Everything has side affects if you have too much of it or if you’re dying. But fatness kills painfully and slowly, and it’s painfull for the rest of us to see fat people.
OK, you’re missing my favorite drink but it’s only available in KY, IN, and OH. Try Ale 8 1 (A late one). One of those will keep you awake for a while and they are actually pretty good, particularly for a hangover.
Thank you energy fiend,
I hope the search engine recognize the importance of this information on the contents of sugar in drinks.
Obesity kills. True. That is typically due to an overconsumption of sugar, which pervades American foods. Aspartame is no substitute for High Fructose Corn Syrup, the primary and most dangerous sweetener, used too liberally by the food industries in the USA. Using aspartame or any other artificial sweetener will only shift health problems elsewhere. Sugar is undeniably the most difficult “habit” to drop.
Wow, very informative site…. I like it.
Another drink missing is Soda Water… could you add it to the list?
Who knew that “Canada Dry” was a fave Tonic Water in the USA. Here in Canada, Schweppes, Canada Dry and any house brand will do. I love Schweppes, but will need to re-think it will all that sugar involved. Diet I guess, may be a way to go. Hopefully there won’t be aspartime, but agree, the more you drink the more harmfull “it could be”.

Do you have a chart on Sodium (salt) content? This is always another health concern.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Please add all SOBE drinks.

Thanks for this. Now all you need to do is quote your sources for all this research.
@Bill – see source reference here.

What about club soda?
Hmm… This site is really interesting. A bit strange, but has really good web design.
I recently heard on the news that Vitamin water contains ungodly amounts of sugar and is misleadingly healthy. Could you add Vitamin water (specifiaclly Energy) to your list?
This is a great list to pass on to people who will not believe it until they see it in black and white on a page such as this. There is one misssing that I sure would like to know more about. The name of it is Powerade bottled by the coca-cola company out of Atlanta, Georgia. A friend of mine has been trying to diet and drinks this all the time and is unable to lose the weight. Thought it would be great if it were on your list.
What about ginger ale? I’ve tried to replace my Pepsi thirst with iced tea, but miss the ‘fizz’ – thought ginger ale might be a better substitute.

Please add Tonic Water to your list – otherwise well done!
