That makes me want to stop eating and drinking all together(not litteraly). That is nasty. I was watching biggest loser and it said that the average american drinks up to 500lbs of sugar each year. And almost 50% of it comes from soda and eergy drinks!
Your figures are wrong. Pepsi has 3g more per can.
Just thought you should know.
[...] The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for American recommend no more than 8 teaspoons per day (32 grams) based on a 2000 calorie per day diet. So if you drink one can of Coca Cola Classic (40.5 grams per 12 ounces), one Dr. Pepper (41 grams per 12 ounces), 1 Lipton Ice Tea (53 grams) or one 7-up (37 grams per 12 ounces) you’re already over. Check out other drinks. [...]

This is gross.. Energy drinks are so bad for you. :/ My dad cut energy drinks from my diet, and i’ve already lost 5lbs.
Thank you for your information posted in the web.
It is because I have a project to do in a training. I want to know more detail about the experiment that how could it be tested the sugar content in soft drink aspecially in coke & pepsi. Could you give more information about investigation ?
Thanks a lot
Kevin
Are fountain pops the same content as listed or do they have any more or less sugar than the product in a bottle or can?
Why exactly are energy drinks bad for your health (other than the massive amounts of carbs). I drink at least two cans of Sugar Free SoBe Adrenaline Rush (which has one gram of carbs and no sugar)…mostly because it keeps me away from other carbonated beverages and the extremely fatty frappucinos I’ve cut out of my diet as of a year ago…oh boy did I love those.
Anyway, why do people say energy drinks cause you to gain weight? Is there something besides the carbs?

Sugar free drinks are much worse than drinks containing sugar. I don’t actually see the purpose of the chart above, as its not necessarily the sugar that will kill you. If its natural sugar and you are buring it off , then you should not worry. Its the drinks that are sugar free that are very unhealthy and pretty dangerous. Aspartame being the main culprit. Aspartame is extremely toxic and should not be ingested by human beings at all. People seem to being horribly misinformed about the reality. Seems that people will chose a ’sugar free’drink over a standard soda. Fact is stick with your sugars, your body actually digests and breaks down sugars, where as aspartame does not get properly digested and releases toxic bi products into your system. Thus its the sugar free drinks that are actually dangerous not just unhealthy. Check up the toxicty level of aspartame online, I have never touched a sugar free drink since i found out about it. wake up people, don’t buy into the mainstream media bullshit, especially when regarding your health.
ty! investigatory project ^^ Which Beverage Contains The Most Sugar ^^ any ideas how can i determine its sugar?? process?????? to determine the sugar in the softdrink of pepsi coca cola ^^
hi this is a response to ”troy^^ Which Beverage Contains The Most Sugar ^^ any ideas how can i determine its sugar?? process?????? to determine the sugar in the softdrink of pepsi coca cola ^^”
The way i monitor my drinks is through a couple of simple steps. The main one being that is free of ASPARTAME, which is an artificial sweetner that has been proven very toxic and threatening to health. Saccharin [not too sure of correct spelling] is also another artificial sweetner that is supposedly safe to ingest, but there has been some disputes about it online, which makes me skeptical of it. The next is trying to get an understanding of the sugar levels in drinks, which are usually measured in grams. This way you can check grams per 100ml which is a pretty common chart found on most drinks i’ve seen. Different people can handle different sugar levels, so its important to regulate your sugar intake in accordance to your lifestyle.
What i find it astonishing is that people that are looking out for their health, chose the ’sugar free drinks’, which basically means, drinks made with artifical sweetners, which is commonly aspartame. So people are ironically damaging their health in serious ways thinking they are benefiting from it. The fact is you are MUCH safer drinking natural glucose/sugars. Sugar will cause you harm if you ingest more than your body can break down, like someone binging on chocolate and not doing any exercise. When exercising or being active the body demands a high flow or carbohydrates to keep going, meaning that your sugar intake is being nuetralised fairly steadily.
My main advice is, keep fit, stick to real sugars, and avoid aspartame, its dangerous.
p.s off the top of my head, the standard ‘coca cola’ is much safer than most carbonated drinks out there, as it does not contain aspartame, its ‘diet coke’ that has the aspartame. Infact, ALL diet drinks [correct me if i'm wrong] contain the artifical sweetner aspartame…
tnx s.mat but can u help me?? with my investigatory project??? wat process or wat can i do it?? by using waT? process?????
btw my group mates assigned me to do chapter 4 and 5 wat will i dO!! :(( hope someone will help me
to troy: im not too sure what you mean. What process are you talking about? You mean a process to monitor sugar in drinks? i think you are looking in the wrong place for those answers. I presume its a based on a science project. you should google ‘methods of glucose/sugar monitoring in foods’
there may be some advanced scientific technique of monitoring sugar levels, which is usually whats expected in projects.
this guys chart above seems to be a basic chart of drinks he measured himself.
You can easily do this, by just documenting grams of sugar per 100ml, you will actually find it printed on the back of pretty much any soft drink.
Documenting all these is technically a process, but i doubt thats what you need.
Maybe be more specific, i might be able to help.
good luck ![]()
kkk btw tnx for all ur help ;D xD ^^ ill think bout it >.> [cramming] xD ^^
