Snickers Gets Charged With Caffeine
Snickers (from Mars) have released a limited edition Snickers bar. Called Snickers Charged – it contains 60mg of caffeine and 250mg of taurine. The bar also contains B Vitamins.
According to CandyBlog:
It smells much like the regular Snickers, has the same texture … same crunchy peanuts, chewy caramel and super-sweet nougat with a hit of salt. And then it comes along, the caffeine kick. And when I say kick, I mean in the mouth. It’s a bitter aftertaste that sits high and in the back of the mouth.

I have to say it is not that good. I reviewed it for my website and gave it one of my lowest ratings of any energy products. It was only 59 cents though.
Not bad, Worth the price of admission, although not anything Special.
I LOVE IT I THINK IT TASTES BETTER THEN REG. SNICKERS! ITS FASTER THAN DRINKING AN ENERGY DRINK &THE PICK ME UP IS JUST RIGHT PLUS IT SELLS FOR ONLY 60 CENTS!
BITTER TASTE AFTER A FEW BITES
i never noticed the taste even on an annoying clean palette, i really thought it tasted as good (if not a bit better) than original snickers
on the other hand, if you do the math it would take four of these to equal the caffeine content in a 16 oz monster (.60×4= $2.40) and for the same price
so its not really a cheap energy drink alternative
I just tried it. I didn’t notice any bitter taste at all. I thought it tasted just like a regular Snickers bar. Pretty decent “energy drink feeling” after about 15 mintutes. Not too bad.
thats somthing u’d eat after you rott ur guts out with coffee,and you start to crave food,those would be perfect to fix ur tummy up/keep it cruisin ahha.
i thought it was pretty good. i can see how people would whine about it being bitter but it was too slight for me to comment about if not for responding to others’ comments. Obvious difference from reg. snickers but worth the caffeine kick for only $0.39 on sale at local drugstore. still satisfies chocolate craving while also doing same 4 caffeine need.
WHERE DO I BUY THESE SNICKERS CHARGED CANDY BARS?
These things are GREAT hard to find now. Every once in awhile I run across a case or two at the local gas stations or even Kmart yesterday had two cases of 72 out, I picked them up and tossed one in freezer for safe keeping. Love em and the rush/taste is better then Monster or red bull.
At least it tastes good during those precious seconds before the caffeine taste makes you spit it back out.
