NOS Power Shot
Fuze Beverages are launching a condensed version of popular energy drink NOS in May. It seems that energy shots are a growth sector in the beverage industry.
NOS PowerShot, 2oz, is aimed at those looking for very quick, high-impact energy. NOS PowerShot contains the NOS Maximum Boost Formula, which concentrates into one 2oz shot, serving the same level of Caffeine, Taurine, L-Carnitine, Inositol and Panax Ginseng found in an 8oz serving of regular NOS Energy Drink. Plus, NOS PowerShot contains a special formulation of elevated levels of Niacin, Vitamin B6 and B12 than those found in regular NOS Energy Drink.
An 8 ounce serving of regular NOS contains 125mg of caffeine.
A play with the Caffeine Database shows that shot drinks are the most concentrated form of caffeine drink available.

Yes, I agree with Dusty;
Considering the price that they’ll charge, which will probably be the same as other energy shots ($1.50+), with only half the energy content of the $2.00 16oz can, it seems like a barely-average product. Though there are merits to low volume energy shots, the marginal utility for this particular product might not be enough to keep it in competition.
Then again, in defense of Nos, you can only dissolve so much stuff in a single amount of carbonated water; maybe they maxed out the solute capacity. Also, they may be relying on their existing consumer base, those who buy their regular Nos 16oz, to buy this new product.

I agree it is a little light in the caffeine department for a shot. Still it has more than your typical Red Bull. Maybe that is the market they are looking for. You gotta love their packaging though. Now if they would just sell these for a buck. I can’t wait to try one myself. I’ll keep my eye out.
id bet my life my homemade “coffee hash” is a higher caffine concentration…..id love to try one of these though,kause no’s is my favorite energy drink,i hope these make it to saskatchewan.
sad, nos is my favorite high caffiene good taste energy drink and this promises to have neither at nearly the same price

It may have the same as the 16oz can..but you can slam the power shot down faster and get the energy quicker by doing so..and you dont have to get the filled up belly feeling that you get from slamming the 16oz cans..NOS really gives me energy and no telling what the power shot will do for me..I have one here on the desk..but Im wanting to get drunk tonight lol.
I drink on one NOS for at least 30 to 45 mins..I can slam this lil thing in a sec..So the energy will be there just like the normal can..but faster and more potent.

I take 5 of these shot within an hours time frame and I’m buzzing all day! Though I know the coke guy so I get them for free. I would definitely not buy 5 for $10.
This is the first Energy Shot of had, and although the taste is kinda gross (I dilute it with water), it works FAST! I took half a shot this morning, and less than 10min later, I’m wide awake. I can’t imagine what the full shot would do to me!
