im i the only one who finds monster energy as a hole contains so much sugar it makes me ill
its just like syrup at the bottom of the can.
sickly
i dont know what kind of metabolic rate the fat people of the u.s have but i cant stand monster.
p.s im just saying try jogging.
Wow… As much coffee and energy drinks as I drink and I scored fairly low……. I guess I finally found one addiction quiz that says I’m NOT addicted to the substance the quiz focuses on…that’s a first
Hmmm…
Now that I think about it, there was that crack quiz that said I wasn’t a crack-head… Never did like that crap, doesn’t last long enough
LMAO
woot so im not addicted….I just like to drink alot of energy drinks…
I had one sip of a monster energy drink and it almost made me blow chuncks, but my friend chuged the rest of the energy drink and loved it.
I do love my energy drinks, and I HAVE paired sodas with food like wine and cheese, but I cannot for the life of me stand Monster or anything that’s a Red Bull knockoff. Monster I dislike because it isn’t a ‘good’ caffeine buzz for me; it just makes me jittery, hyper, and unable to focus. Funnily enough, other drinks that came out around the same time period as Monster don’t do that to me. I’m fine with Rockstar, Amp, Venom, Full Throttle and even NOS if I’m really tired (and ONLY if), but not Monster. It’s like it gives me a ‘bad caffeine trip’ if that makes sense.
Red Bull and its knockoff clones I dislike because an energy drink HAS to disguise the caffeine bitterness if I’m gonna drink it. Xyience gets a pass because it doesn’t leave me feeling dehydrated afterwards. Full Throttle I like because there’s something else to it. There has to, in other words, be a flavor there to compensate for or cover up the bitterness. For example, I can’t stand Venom Black Mamba, but I like Death Adder and Killer Taipan (the latter more than the former, because yum mango).
i dont do energy drinks as too sweet- i do vivarin – absorbs faster and dont get quite the sugar down
you did not account for that at all in this quiz
Monster and Red bull give me heart palpitations, but that may be because I was drinking 2 litre’s of Mountain Dew a day. I am currently in day 2 of caffeine withdrawal and I hate everyone. My head is splitting and I want to rip my eyes out of my sockets. Sucks ass to do but I think it was messin with my health. End.
My problem was not energy drinks. For me they all taste way too sweet. My issue is coffee, I drink it black with no sugar but have been doing it for years & before I quite drinking it I was consuming about 12 cups daily. I’m in the last part of the second week of withdraw and for the last four days my ears have been ringing non stop with maybe a very slight headache. The article on this site says about a week is all it takes to get through this, I’m confused.
@Tom you were more on the extreme end at 1500mg a day roughly. This will take you several weeks to detox. One week is for the regular user which is around 200-300mg a day.
hahaha lol, i scored 0 out of 16
Im n0t into energy drinks buT i’m sure i’m so dEpendEnt oN cofFeE and softdrinks, particularly coca cola. I’m trying to eliminate them slowly c0z we realLy knOw they’re nOt goOd.
I was drinking coke for almOst 23 yearS i guesS buT n0t everyday. That’s why i’m starting w0rRy and trying to avoid it c0z i fEel headache if i drink m0re than 16 oz in 1 day. And w/ cofFeE, its n0t blaCk bt 3 in 1 buT 2 cups a day . .
Yeah, this s**t is crazy. I just quit drinking 3 (sometimes 4) energy shots a day after having too much vitamin b(3,6,&12) in my body… causing toxins. not the greatest feeling. almost caused a stroke at work. be wary. read the label. and whats not on the label, will hurt(or kill) you. look it up, youre supposed to drink more water than usual with energy drinks, and with the energy shots.. eat right after or before drinking the recommended dose. stay safe and dont wind up with some sort of nerve damage..
(P.S. : Taking “DL Phenylalanine” during the day really helps me. And for the night I use a low dose of melatonin and/or L-Theanine. Just a suggestion)
I never drink energy drinks, I drink coffee, so I failed the test. Maybe change the questions to replace “energy drinks” with “caffeine”? However, summer has arrived (in Texas, some time in February) so I will probably switch to iced tea or Rock Star.
I rated “Competent.”
My excuse is that I come from France and had espresso every day after lunch as a matter of course since I was “this” high. So a regular cup of American coffee puts me to sleep, an espresso shot is just like regular coffee, a double espresso wakes me up a bit but is not enough for an all nighter, and I never could understand how my fellow students could even consider soda (whether Coke or Mountain Dew) as anything but a negligible source of caffeine.
So the move towards energy drink was a natural one. In my world, Red Bull is adequate for those moments were you want to appear alert, Monster drinks are treated like regular sodas, and Starbucks espresso drinks are mainly attractive for their taste. Yep I am a caffeine fiend all right…:)
I’m mostly a Code Red Mtn Dew Drinker and sometimes the Grape or Orange one.
